About the Pack
- An egalitarian pack with matriarchal lean.
- Lore Titles:
Leads; Duke -> Marquis -> Viscount -> Knight -> Apprentice -> Pup
Queen Duke/King Duke/Duke Monarch - The highest authority in the pack. Title may be shared to the lead wolf's spouse as well, but not always.
Marquis - Wolves of importance in the pack, who have unique wisdom or experience with the world. They are advisors to the pack when the Duke is busy. There may be up to 3 Marquis wolves, who share the weight by seniority usually. They may be of any age but are typically older.
Viscount - Viscounts are the primary authority on a given subject, the most senior wolf with experience in a given trade. Viscounts are in charge of teaching Apprentices when possible, and overall keeping an eye on the youngest wolves in the pack and aiding nursing wolves with their pups.
Knights - Knights are the general pack members. Varied in skill, most Knights are hunters or scouts, but some directly care for their packmates in some other way, or provide other services such as lorekeeping, spiritual rites, and keeping the den clean and sanitary.
Apprentice - Wolves who are weaned and old enough to begin wandering around, but not yet old enough to have the skill of a Knight. Apprentices will typically choose(or be chosen by) a Knight or Viscount to follow around and learn from. Apprentices are encouraged to learn from many different wolves to find out their passions and skills.
Pups - Wolves who are too young to leave their nests for long and must be supervised for their own good. No special title, though pups of the Duke are sometimes referred to as Barons, though this title grants them no special privilege by default.
