Great Beyond
Dead Dragons Breathing
In the Words of Deus Astrum: "This land was built on the bodies of its followers, its rivers stain the shores with their blood. The trees can only whisper the names of the dead, and even the sun has turned its back on the wanders who dare join us in this place. We come from harsh times, just as we always have, but not any more. Not like how it used to be. My ancestors have wasted countless lifetimes chasing a dream that was not meant to be achieved, nor to even be real. My mother got the answers she wanted, but at the cost over her family, her pack, and even her very own life. The Dragons we once honored, gave our very lives to, have turned away and only the Bones of the great beasts rest in their place. We have disgraced the very idea of what we are and what we came from. But life always expects to move on, so, we shall bow are heads, cry one last tear, give one last kiss to the departed and walk away better than before.

"I call for my mother & walks in the knife. it breathes. i call for their god & down comes the guillotine. my / father faints. it / ruins me: this urge to press myself back into the earth, to be weeping -/- willowed back to god. to forget, i interlace the hand with the ribcage. the doctors don't want me to do that again. I forget / that all my friends are a childhood away [...] "
"Each of us alone inside our bodies, each of us marooned, in the suffering exchange, while the world burns—
