The Abode of Shadows

𝙿𝚊𝚌𝚔 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚏 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚏𝚒𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗

          Many years ago, when Mørk and Lys were not yet at war, an unusual stone appeared on Grense of Virkelighet and Fantasiverden. Its bluish light was bright and illuminated both worlds as brightly as the Sol and the Måne. The inhabitants of both kingdoms were afraid of this light and believed that the appearance of this stone was an evil sign, but at the same time they were strongly attracted to it. 

          Years later, the light of the stone began to fade. It was dying. And after only a few days, it finally faded. The stone stopped emitting a cold blue light, cracked, turned into dust. And at the same moment, in his place, the bitter cry of a small pup was heard. His fur was pitch black, as if Mørk itself was the mother of this wolf.

          Månen Ånd itself appeared at the call of the pup. Despite the fact that he had a black fur, she decided to take the pup to her and protect him until he grows up and can take care of himself. She gave him white marks as a sign that he does not bear evil. This wolf was called Barn av Månen. After Månen Ånd took the puppy from the border, the light no longer penetrated it. The inhabitants of Virkelighet and Fantasiverden called this place Ormebol. 

          As the months passed, Barn av Månen grew up. He understood that he was not the native son of the moon goddess — after all, everyone who lived under her protection had white fur, while he had black. The white spots on his fur confused him. He learned that the place of his birth is Ormebol, a place where even light does not penetrate. And to solve the mystery of his origin, Barn av Månen descended to Grense. He created a pack, where he gathered his followers and those who wanted to help him from both kingdoms. The pack was called the Abode of Shadows.

          The pack still lives there, on Grense, in Ormebol. Barn av Månen has not been able to solve the riddle, but his faithful followers continue to try.

          The legend also brought some rules for the formation of the names of its members to the pack. The names of wolves change several times throughout their lives, and their meaning depends on the position and age of the wolf. All names are translated into Norwegian. Part of the lore__
