As you weave through the trees you find yourself unable to remember where you were going. The trees closed in and soon a dense thicket sat in front of you. A snarl from the right and before you could react you were on the ground and snarling back in response to the threat. 'Who are you? What are you doing here? You're mind raced as you tried to give them a response. Before you you think of anything to say leaves crunched and a soft bark interrupted you. 'Devanagari it's okay, I don't think they mean harm.' He back off not breaking eye contact as he backed toward the she-wolf. 'What are you doing out here Frankie? It's dangerous.' His hackles remained raised as he stared daggers at you. You tried to calm yourself down as he boldly wedged himself between you and the she-wolf. You weren't paying attention at first, but you notice she was heavy with pups, presumably the wolf that attacked you was her mate. 'Devanagari come on, they don't mean any harm, I'm pretty sure they're lost.' She looks at you, walking past the still growling Devanagari, gently pressing a warm snout to your ears. 'You'll be fine follow me.' She tenderly walks into the thicket, a well worn dug out spot breaking through the dense branches and leaves. You hesitate looking back at Devanagari, he looked back at you huffing in frustration before slipping in after Frankie. With no one able to ambush you from behind you follow, careful to avoid stray stickers that had made their ways into the short tunnel over time. On the other side were multiple dens dug out, pups wrestling and playing with pupsitters eyeing their surroundings or joining in, hunters were coming back from hunts and scouts brought gifts for pups to play with. Ears perked in your direction once you emerged from the small tunnel, some started to growl, pupsitters moved to block a clear path from the pups. Frankie had already made her way under a large tree near the edge, but situated higher up than everything. 'It's okay everyone this is our guest, please be welcoming. They mean no harm.' That was enough to quell somes fears, as younger wolves returned to their business or started to make their way over to you for conversation. The strange pelts didn't seem to hear Frankie, rather they seemed far too weary, starting to distribute themselves throughout the area, keeping a close eye on you. What happened here. Devanagari softly growled behind you, 'Understand that our pack has been through a lot. Outsiders wouldn't understand. Just know our pack wasn't always like this, I hope Frankie was right.' He seemed tired, you start to notice his muzzle is greying, he didn't seem that old, but his words told a different story. You had a werid feeling about this pack, an uneasy foreboding feeling. Suffering has happened here, and the pack carries that suffering with them wherever they go.
