Sweet Water Pack

Glacier is a dangerous place. Especially when you're alone. Yet you have no choice but to keep moving forward despite all dangers and the raging snowstorm. The snow clouded your vision and you couldn't see anything in front of your nose, it even made you almost fall from a cliff you were walking on. You were hungry, cold and tired. However fate decided that it was too harsh on you and after a short while you emerged on a small flat terrain where a lake was located, but it wasn't abandoned. There were wolves! One of them spotted you, it was probably a guardian. At first it seemed hostile, but after seeing your state it invited you inside.

Pack lore:

"River was a lone wolf for quite some time. Because of prey scarcity he had to leave his parental pack and travel alone through many lands. It was a hard time for him. Hunting alone, looking for scraps to survive, running away from rivals and enemies. Without others he wasn't capable of defending himself otherwise than by running away from danger" the guard said while chewing its meal "Finally, he decided to stop in the glacier, near a lake and rest. That's where he met Mud, his first companion and mother of his pups. Later more and more wolves started to show up expressing willingness to join his pack. He even accepted a few unknown puppies".

The guard was watching you closely. It was constantly checking if you were a threat, but it was also looking if you enjoyed your food.

"At the beginning River only thought about survival, but the bigger the pack was getting the more he started to have ambitions about strength and greatness so he accepts wolves that can give something to the pack in return. He also never chases elders away. Many say that power changes people, but despite River's ambitions he's still caring and understanding. That's why the pack keeps gaining new members" the wolf kept telling the story. This guard seemed proud that it is in this pack "All pack members respect his decisions and ambitions. In fact most of the pack is convinced that achieving greatness will keep them all safe. Why would he do that, you may ask and the answer is simple. To protect his pack, his loved ones and to fight off any threat that bares its teeth on the Sweet Water Pack".

The wolf stood up when it finished the story and its meal.

"I need to go back to my duties, but if you want to stay feel free to go to the Sweet Water Cave and talk to him" the guard said while pointing at the mentioned place "I'm sure he'll let you stay" the wolf finished and walked out of the shelter that was the cave you were both in.

Lunar Event effects:

River has been having weird dreams recently. The territory he was exploring seemed familiar yet it was so different. The creatures resembled normal prey and predators yet they weren't normal. Additional limbs, wings, mushrooms and this blue essence. It wasn't normal yet River couldn't stop these dreams from coming, they always appeared when he was falling asleep and before he knew they started affecting his real form. Mushrooms appearing on his body, new markings on his pelt, eyes change. It all began with these dreams and a blue, shiny rock that he'd found in them. However all of these didn't seem dangerous so he decided to leave them for now and find out why they showed up on him.

Lunar Event end:

River noticed that the more time he was spending in his dreams the more his body was changing. At first the idea of it was disturbing however the leader noticed something he had failed to notice before. The creatures from Dreamlands were mysterious, but very wise and the stone he had found was a gift from them. A blessing for his pack. River realised that when his body has reached its final state he became wiser. He became a true alpha wolf. From that time Sweet Water Pack changed its organisation a little, it wasn't a cluster of random wolves just willing to survive anymore. It became a growing community that was slowly making its way towards greatness. River established new roles that the pack didn't have before, new rules, new duties, but he still was always making sure everyone was happy. Although maybe Dreamlands aren't possible to reach anymore, with all the knowledge he got from there River can now start training someone to become a leader after him one day. Someone that will keep Sweet Water Pack strong after his death.
