Dragon’s Vehelm
The pack of the Dragon's Vehelm is an old pack embracing new traditions. Previously a carefully guarded secret, their only job was to guard the birthplace of the dragons- the Dragon's Vehelm. Many such of these so-called "Vehelms" exist- birthplaces, between worlds, where creatures make their beginnings. Though most of these Vehelm's locations have been lost to time, this pack still guards one of them- the one of the dragons.
This pack, though once so secret, is beginning to open its arms to the wider world, and allow those not necessarily from the region to join in guarding the Vehelm. The pack's lineage is long, and part of this lineage is shown in the names of its members- most names are Drakonik and Væloniq, from the original founders, but there are names from every nationality- Iespaño, Ma'ahlla, Cnitharian, and Qwrrik all have their roots dug deep into the pack's history as well. With the pack of the Dragon's Vehelm opening up into the wider world, however, has come with its own quirks: In order to preserve this long history of individuality, Younglings and those being accepted into the pack must choose a new name for themself, a name from any nationality, pronounced as oddly or as normally as they want- as long as it was not once theirs.
Additionally, the pack's connection with the Lunar Realm has only grown deeper since its reopening- those in the pack who have been Terra wolves all their life are now growing the marks of the Cnitharian wolves on the other side, showing how deep the pack's roots truly grow.
The pack of Dragon's Vehelm is completely nameless- they only go by this title due to the keep they guard. The pack itself might not have a name, but if they deemed their charge great enough to abandon their own name- who are we to judge?
The Queens
The first and current queen of the modern era is Ikidi, a Drakonik-born Cnitharian wolf with a Væloniq name. She is the first one to see how embracing the modern world is truly meaningful.
The Pack
Lu'ulit, the pack's herbalist, is highly revered for his extensive knowledge and skillful use of his craft. Originally a Væloniq wolf, he has taken a Ma'ahllan name. However, he has begun to question his origins of being fully Væloniq as he begins to grow the features of the cryptids in the area.
Eyahni, also known as the Metallic Wolf, is the pack's primary and most skilled scout. Despite being revered for their skill in scouting, many members of the pack don't get along well with them since most days they're either off scouting or preparing for their next run. Despite their dark fur color, they are Iespañic with a Drakonik name.
The Demon of the Dragon's Vehelm was originally a normal pup from the Sundivine pack, who was sacrificed to mark the passing of their former leader Senuvitak. This sacrifice elevated Senuvitak's spirit to godhood, but had the side effect of turning Kaskve into a demon, who was then cast out of the clan. Eventually, she took on the Drakonik name of Kaskve. This immortal "demon" spends her days patrolling the Vehelm and guarding the pack surrounding it with her unnatural abilities. Despite the circumstances of her creation, she holds no animosity towards the Sundivine pack and often travels back there to visit with her once-packmates. Her presence within this pack is one of the main reasons why queen Ikidi decided to begin expanding the pack and reconnecting with the rest of the world.
One starry night, the Felled, true to his title, fell from the sky in a fireball, landing in a thicket of trees near the Vehelm. The pack quickly discovered the now-wolf, who was once a god above. The stoic Felled originally refused help or treatment for his wounds, but was found again just days later on the brink of death. Originally quite uptight due to his previous godhood, he began to loosen up as he realized he was now on level ground with everyone else. Eventually, he decided to officially join in guarding the Dragon's Vehelm and chose a name for himself, the Ma'ahllan name Ka'ahlet. Despite his naming ceremony being one of the most attended in recent history, many still refer to him as the Felled.
