Russet Plains Pack
The Russet Pack is a mostly female dominated pack, led by the dominant female Iskald and her mate, Faust.
In this pack the females are more responsible for being warriors, pupsitters, and hunters while the males are more likely to be mentors, scouts, and herbalists! This isn't to say the males have no say or power, the opinions of both males and females of the pack are taken into account. Most political or dispute based conflicts are handled by Iskald and Faust with the help and opinions of the eldest members (for their wisdom) and the youngest members (for their compassion and friendship-based ideas).
The pups and adolescents are treated with the same respect as adults in order to help them feel more apart of the pack from an early age.
The herbalist, Eivind, is consulted by the leaders regarding dreams, ideas, and such troubles only a leader knows. Eivind is wise, far beyond his young body. He can often be found exploring the dreamlands of helping other animals while foraging, as he has a kind and giving heart that just wants to see peace in the world.
The Russet pack is based on the idea of found family, as Iskald and Faust welcome in abandoned, crippled, and dsipersal wolves alike and give them a home and a purpose. In the mornings they all eat together and in the night they eat together and sleep in large hollowed out dens in the side of a hill to protect them from the cold winds of the mountains.
