Immortals of the Far North,
Lead by our history,
Hear our Voices
Nursery stories tell of legendary beings who once ruled the skies like man does the land, until they didn't. The greed of man knows no bounds, man grew jealous and sought to tame the Keepers of the Sky. In doing so, they drove the Keepers to the brink of extinction, they fled where no mortal could reach them. The Far North. You lift your head to try and find a scent in the storm, there are many unfamiliar scents of the Far North, but only one stands out. You stiffen as you try to make out what it is, your fur begins to bristle and your own anxiety fills your senses. What the.. you don't finish the thought. Something's reaching through the blizzard, its jaws gaping wide with layers of teeth- the biggest teeth you've ever seen, and its talons stretched wide, prepared to kill. But it's eyes, those eyes you'll never forget. It's eyes a cold and piercing blue, enough to send a chill down any being's spine. Something slams into your side, pinning you to the ground. This is it, you close your eyes and hold your breath.. and nothing. For a heartbeat, the world goes quiet before it all rushes back. A single howl erupts over the roaring wind, joined by another and another until you can't make them out, their howl a perfect harmony. You realize there aren't talons gripping your head, but a paw pressing your face firmly into the snow. You open your eyes in time to see a flash of light disappear into the storm.
" You're lucky, outsider, " a wolf says as she releases her hold on you.
" W-what was that.. ? " you ask as you rise to your paws. You can see now there are five wolves, all hardly over a year old. A handsome male steps forward, his Losna markings and white highlights mimicking river and snow on his fur. He looks at you with deep blue eyes.
" That was Keeper Fobahkaal. His name means Frost Wrath Champion in his tongue, he is the Guardian of our lands. He protects us from outsiders, and in exchange on every New Moon we bring him our largest kill. "
" A.. Keeper? But they're extinct, man drove them to extinction.. they've been extinct for centuries! "
" No. Man drove them to the Far North. The Keepers of the Sky still watch over the lands. My name is Everest, I am the lead stalker of the Royal Titans. Welcome to the Far North, outsider. "
Hierarchy
1) The Monarch leads the Titans and always remains on top
Our current Monarch is Queen Bgoj nene
2) Second to the Monarch depends on the gender of the Monarch. Second to the Queen is her Breeding male and second to the King is his Mate, along with any Heirs born to the King or Queen.
They reside in the top den, the Royal Titans
3) Third to the Monarch is the Herbalist, our Herbalist is the backbone to our pack and shares many responsibilities with the Monarch. They ensure a healthy pack.
Our Herbalist calls the Medicine den their home, there they house sick wolves, though they have a spare den called the Quarantine den for wolves with contagious diseases or deadly illnesses
4) Fourth in the Titan Hierarchy are our pregnant and nursing mothers, their pups, and their sitters. Pregnant or nursing mothers and their pups are first to eat as the young are the future of our pack, without them our numbers will dwindle.
Pregnant and Nursing Mothers, Pups, Breeding Wolves, and Pupsitters reside in the Nursery where they care for the Pups until they reach 6 months of age
5) Fifth comes the Elders. Our pack Elders consist of retired wolves and Mentors. Our Elders are important as they aid in the teachings of the pack youth and share their wisdom to the rest of the pack. A wolf will retire to the Elder's den at 6y 6m.
Our Elders and Mentors stay in the Elder's den
6) Sixth in line are our pack's Hunters and Scouts. Our Hunters and Scouts are responsible for expanding our territory and feeding our hungry mouths. They consist of some of our pack's finest wolves. When a suitable pup enters the pack, Hunters and Scouts will aid in the training of their successors to ensure only the finest wolves hold such a responsibility.
The den is called the Royal Knights den, it houses our pack's Hunters and Scouts. There should be at least 5 Hunters and 2 Scouts at all times
7) Seventh in line are our pack's Yearlings, our Yearlings are too big to stay in the Apprentice den but are too inexperienced to work with the rest of the pack.
Yearlings reside in the Yearling's den, this is where apprentices go between 1 and 2 years of age to adjust to being a full, contributing member of the pack.
8) Eighth comes our Apprentices, they're on the verge of adulthood and will soon be the successors of the retired wolves. They've spent their whole lives training for their assigned role.
Apprentices are Adolescents between the ages of 6 months and 1 year, they nest in the Apprentice den
9) Ninth in the Titan Hierarchy are the Common wolves, they're the wolves without a role or are Undecided.
Common wolves reside in the Common Titans den
10) At the bottom of the Hierarchy, there are the Peasant wolves. Many of these wolves serve no purpose in our pack and are only seen as more mouths to feed and a waste of resources. They are rarely fed or taken care of and resources will not be used on them if they fall sick, Peasant wolves with a deadly or contagious illness will be chased away immediately and/ or allowed to die.
Peasant wolves reside in the Peasant den. Wolves set to be sold will also often reside here, though they typically see better treatment than other Peasant wolves. Peasant wolves not being sold will either be chased off or allowed to die.

My Titans are led by their founder and Queen, Bgoj nene (Buh-goj nene), whose name means Bigfoot in my Tribal language. All Titan Monarchs will adopt a Tribal name upon selection, even if not given one at birth, which I've often already chosen well in advance.
