Guild of Frost

YOU FEEL WATCHED... ...Until, all of a sudden, two wolves step out of the shadows and begin to speak. One of them is light gray with bold black marks, and the other is, strangely, blue, with mottled gray marks. They welcome you to the territory of the magnificent King Asphodel, and his mate, Adonis. The two are the proud co-leaders of the Guild of Frost, and they are working together to raise an heir, Boreas. Boreas was touched by the Spirit of Ice when he was born, a sign that he was incredibly powerful and destined to bring about great change in his lifetime. Whether this change will come in the form of great good or great evil is yet unknown to the Guild, but they can only hope that this promising young pup will not bring about their destruction. As the Guild of Frost grows and those who believe in Boreas's power continue to flock to the pack's territory, the pressure on Boreas to do the right thing becomes greater and greater. It is only a matter of time before that pressure breaks him. OUR PAST The Guild of Frost derives its name from a small group of wolves who settled in a frozen wasteland, far from any other living creatures. They were excellent swimmers, dipping under the ice and catching arctic fish, and most perplexing of all, they gained an odd control over the frozen winds of the area, steering it and carving their dens out of glaciers with the power of wind erosion. Asphodel is descended from these wolves, and he is on a quest to return to his ancestral homeland. It is his hope that all the wolves in the current Guild of Frost who feel the same allure to the icy wastes will be able to reconnect with the land and regain control over those whipping winter winds. He believes that with power like this, the Guild could become incredibly well-known and revered. On his journey, he's collected many other wolves who feel the same way as he does. OUR MYTHOLOGY The Guild of Frost has many myths, most of them revolving around their heir and the fact that he was touched by a god of ice. They believe he is destined to be the next leader of the Guild for his power, and that he is the link between the present-day Guild and its origins. Not only this, but they believe he is a reincarnation of the great lupine god of the north wind, Borealis, which his name is derivative of. The Guild believes that Borealis hand-crafted the wolves of the frozen wastes from the snowy winds that made up his own ghostly form, and sent them upon the earth to guide other wolves. Asphodel wishes to share his power with all wolves who desire it, and his loyal mate, although a bit confused by the fact that winter magic is real, supports him all the way and is travelling with him to the ice plains. For now, though, the pack must settle with a grassland. html layout by honey (#407). do not remove credit. mountains header by Mairu-Doggy on deviantart. |
