Norse Wolves
It is said that when the Land was born there were nine deities, no one more important than the other.
Teeko was the eldest of the deities however he was the loneliest so he used a piece of his fur to create creatures called Wolvos. These creatures however had no heart and thus wars started to break out for these creatures were thoughtless and aggressive. Because he created these creatures Teeko and his brother, Alikae, took the responsibility to wipe out all of these beings from existence.
However Teeko was still lonely so, this time using a small amount of his lifeforce, created creatures called Wolves. These creatures had heart and had to work together to survive. In honor of their creation Teeko became the God of Wolves.
When Mud noticed that the wolves had no place to live they planted a fang that grew into a giant tree, this tree then spread creating the first forest. They invited the wolves to live in their forest. In honor of their home Mud became the Deity of Forests.
Ginger, wanting to see what she could make, used a piece of her coat to create many different creatures. They were similar to Wolvos in emotion and thought however similar in shape to her. She named these different creatures deer, boar, and elk. She had no attachment to these mundane animals and because of their herbivore nature, they were allowed to live in the Land.
In honor of their food Ginger became the Goddess of Prey.
When the wolves started to feel hunger, Akira took it upon herself to teach them how to hunt. Showing them ways to lure, stalk, chase, and finish the animals Ginger created. Using her teachings the wolves hunted and ate until they were full. In honor of their survival Akira became the Goddess of the Hunt.
Noticing that the wolves became tired after hunting, Sterling and Mud decided they should create a way to tell time. Using a feather and peice of shed they created the Sun and Moon, respectively. They told the wolves that Night is when all the prey sleep while during the Day they play, thus the wolves could sleep during the night and hunt during the day. In honor of the Sun and Moon Sterling became the God of the Day and Mud became the Deity of the Night.
The prey soon learned new ways to avoid the wolves and thus the wolves started to go hungry again. Teddy, feeling for their hardship, embedded a piece of his hoof into their paws, creating claws. This allowed them to move faster and more swiftly to catch the prey. In honor of their claws Teddy became the God of Swiftness.
After only having a small pack the wolves grew bored and lonely so they wished for a way to have new friends. Never to refuse such a request Blake showed the pack how to use heartsblood to create new creatures called puppies. He explained the puppies would grow into what the wolves look like now. When wondering who should take care of these puppies Teeko stepped in to teach the wolves how to raise and care for them. In honor of their children Blake became the God of Family and Teeko became the God of Motherhood.
After many Suns and Moons the wolves noticed the forests starting to wilt under the hot sun. Not wishing the home to disappear, they cried out to the Deities for help. Ginger, using a single tear, created rain to water the forests. The wolves cried out in happiness for their home's continued survival. In honor of their home's survival Ginger became the Goddess of Rain.
Even more Suns and Moons passed as the wolves continued to grow in size. Many new packs were formed and spread across the forest. Ginger noticed many of her creatures were starting to disappear after the amount of hunting the packs did. She went to her brother Teddy in request to do something about this overpopulation. Teddy, using his hot breath, blew fire through the forest, burning many packs and much of the forest down. Ginger in her rage, started to buck and kick creating flashes of light and loud thundurus booms. After much destruction, Ginger finally decided that was enough and caused a great rain to flood out the fire. In honor of their humbling Teddy became the God of Fire and Ginger was changed to the Goddess of Weather.
With many of the wolves trapped in the fire and storms, panicked and in pain. Teeko in his grief used his claws to swipe their souls from their bodies, giving them peace. He continued to do this until his paws and back were full of souls, then he asked his brother Alikae for help. Alikae, seeing the pain his brother was going through, used his tail to create what he called Fercinth or the Afterlife. A place to allow the souls of the dead to play and rest forever. In honor of their passing Teeko became the God of Death and Alikae became the God of the Afterlife.
The wolves soon became bored once more, life was repeating over and over again. They wished for more, something more tangible. Not wanting to hear their whines, Sterling showed them the ways of crafting, using one of his feathers and a piece of twine he created a necklace for his chosen wolf. In honor of their creations Sterling became the God of Creation.
With many wolves learning to craft they were running into more injuries and with no way to heal themselves they started to worry if they would die. No deities had more knowledge on plants than Ginger so Teeko begged her to show them the ways of healing. Buckling under his call Ginger showed the wolves how to harvest and use certain plants to create remedies to heal them. In honor of their health Ginger became the Goddess of Harvest.
After much time crafting and foraging the wolves had too many items. Some packs wished for what others had and grew jealous. Soon, arguments and fights broke out between the packs. Tired of their squabbling Alikae introduced money to them using a silver pinecone. He taught them how to use them to trade and buy the things they wanted instead of taking it. In honor of their peace Alikae became the God of Wealth.
After a while the packs started fighting within themselves, some wanted to do this while others wanted to do that. Akira, mad and tired of the fights, took disciples and showed them the ways to lead. These wolves became the first Pack Leaders and their knowledge was passed down to their pups. In honor of their leaders Akira became the Goddess of Leadership.
In celebration of their new found knowledge Blake threw a feast for everyone. All of the deities and wolves attended, even a few new faces such as a wandering raccoon, a mother bear, and a searching snake. Everyone had a blast, eating till they were near bursting. In honor of their fun Blake became the God of Feasts.
When the deities looked upon the Land and saw what they had created they were happy. However many wolves were unhappy and wished for more, more and more wishes and requests plagued the deities everyday. So the deities decided to disappear. They were never seen again, however many wolves came to see what they believed were the deities to come and check up on them once and a while. It is also said that they shall appear when they are needed most.

Many leaders tell stories of their connection to the Deities when strife struck within the pack.
