Corintima Pack

Corintima Pack ranks in order of most to least dominant:

Alpha
leader of the pack, not always the oldest or wisest or strongest, but often the most dutiful and intuitively intelligent of all. for an alpha, the good of the pack always comes first, no matter the cost

Queen/King - ♕
the alpha's mate and second in command is often very perceptive and graceful, viewed as a parental figure to all. when not aiding the alpha as their advisor, the king/queen can often be found mentoring mentoring young pups as an ultimate role model, as well as giving highly requested advice to adult wolves

Heir - ♢
the chosen next in line to become alpha (usually a descendant of the alpha, but not always, and can be of any rank, even an omega). although technically third highest ranking and being given increasing responsibility as they age, the heir does not often assume any actual control/dominance until they are very soon to take over as alpha. they spend most of their youth learning to get along with and respect all members and ranks within the pack, as well as their designated roles

Healer - ❦
imperative to the pack's continued health and existence, in the case of the unfortunate loss of alpha, alpha's mate, and the heir, the healer with their great wisdom will rise to lead, and the healer's apprentice (who can be of any rank) will take their previous position

Beta - ♖
designated enforcers and guardians of the pack, they are the brawn that will put their lives on the line to protect any and all members of the pack as well as its home territory. they are usually-though not always-large in stature and among the strongest in the pack

Delta - ♣
all the miscellaneous members, free to do as they please if they do not have a designated role, and will often pair off and have pups of their own (and those pups have the potential to end up in any rank, even higher than their parents). they will fight under the betas as their soldiers in times of war, if necessary

Omega - ♡
although technically lowest in rank, omegas are actually very beloved members of the pack. they are the peacemakers who exude calm and grace, and act as mediators among the pack members when disagreements arise with their persuasive soothing talents. omegas have their pick of potential mates as there are usually very few in a pack and they are very sought after as partners due to their kind and gentle nature. omegas are also the first to eat after the alpha and alpha mate, even before the heir so as to impress upon them the importance of omegas

Although the ranks operate as a hierarchy/chain of command, there is no shame in being a wolf of any particular rank, even those lower down on the chain. Each wolf is important to the pack in their own unique way, and all are expected to respect and cooperate with each other regardless of rank or role in order to keep the pack's synergy flowing.

In addition to their rank's responsibilities, a wolf of any rank may also be assigned to fill any role within the pack, although some roles are commonly most suited to wolves of a specific rank as well. Unlike ranks however, roles have no hierarchy, as they are all equally essential to the functionality of the pack.

*whelpers are those whose responsibility it is to bring new/higher quality blood (genes) into the pack's alpha lines, either by breeding amongst each other, with their bonded, or with wolves from other packs.

Other symbols:

⚣ or ⚢ - wolves in a pair bond with the same sex. whether romantic or platonic, these wolves' love defies all boundaries for they chose each other regardless of gender
⚧ - a wolf who plans to change their sex to match their gender (aka, trans wolves. the symbol will be removed once their sex aligns with their gender).
⚥ - a wolf whose gender does not match its sex (basically these are wolves who have changed their sex in order to produce biological offspring either for the pack, or with their bonded one, however that wolf's gender identity still coincides with their birth sex, so regardless of their new sex, they are still considered the gender they identify as. [yes, this is basically transgender but in reverse lol.])
