Wandering Calls
The winter breeze flows through the forest, ruffling your fur. The air is silent, almost still, except for an odd smell. You look around, the snow-filled clearing being the only thing you could see for miles. That is, until you saw a cave in the distance. You decided to approach it, thinking that since you were alone, it would be best to find a place to stay until you could find a way back to your own pack. The cave was huge, and filled with mysterious scents, and odd herbs. Although, the night sky made it see almost pitch black.
Almost.
Two yellow eyes flick open right in front of you, catching you by surprise. You stumble back, nearly tripping on your own paws from surprise. The figure pops his head into the moonlight, a black and white face emerging with a look of amusement. He chuckles, looking down at you. "Howdy stranger! The wolf says happily, fully stepping into the light. His black and white coat contrasted between one another, but that wasn't unusual from any wolf.. "Sorry I spooked ya, I just don't like bursting out at people, buuut maybe I should stop doing that-" He had a goofy grin replace the look of amusement. His voice had an odd twang to it, but he seemed overall as friendly as a strange wolf could possibly get.
"Well, since I scared ya, and you seem to be alone, why don't you stick around? You can come and meet my friends, and maybe you could stay the night or two!" He asks happily, wagging his shaggy tail. "Here, follow me. I'm sure the others will be plenty happy to say hello to a new friend!" Maybe this wasn't going to be so bad. He seemed nice enough of a host.
"Oh! Before I forget by the way, the name's Badger." He said with a slightly excited grin, looking over his shoulder to you as he turned back to the cave entrance.
