Reimagine Strength
Night approaches as you walk through the mountains, hoping to escape the venerability of being out in a strange place at night you find a crevice in a nearby rock wall, and burrow down inside, hoping that morning comes soon. You rest your head on your paws and before you know it sleep overtakes you, and you're gone.
When you open your eyes you are greeted by a strange small little being. A glowing butterfly. It flaps its wings slowly, almost as if it had fallen asleep there as well. You blink, and stare at the creature before it lifts it's wings and takes off. You get up, now bound by curiosity and follow the small thing. It almost seems to be leading you through the night as it pauses, and lands, giving you time to keep up and track its movements. Finally, it comes to rest over a cluster of bushes. Each bush, littered with colorful flowers that seemed to reflect the same glow as the butterfly. You stop, and stare at the thing, wondering what to do next, when the bushes rustle and you see a brown wolf with olive green eyes push out of the bushes. By her sent you can tell he is male and covered with herbs, but that isn't what catches your attention, it is his paws, glowing with a purple light that is similar to the flowers and the butterfly. A gem too hangs from his neck, pulsating a dim blue light.
"You are not from around here." He says, her eyes flick to the butterfly, and he nods. "Come. Follow me."
Before you can utter a word, the wolf disappears into the bushes. You look once more for the butterfly, but it is gone, so you follow the wolf...or at least the light of his paws and tail. You seem to be going down a large tunnel of sorts. Down for a long while, and then up. The length of time, makes you wonder if it is still night, and where she is taking you. Suddenly, the light catches up to you and you stop.
"We are here." The wolf says in a calm tone. He walks out into a large clearing, hemmed in on every-side by rock walls. Although it is still night the place is alive with activity, as butterflies, similar to the one from before, move from place to place, and on their trail small pups, in a vain attempt to catch them. A tree, in center of the clearing is littered with glowing plants all around its base.
"Who is this, Acorn Fur?" A deep voice asks. You turn and see a large musular wolf walking toward you. His coat, completely black helps to show the bright red mask and white blaze on his face. His own green eyes critically evaluate you.
"I found him on the other side. One of the messengers brought him." Acorn Fur replied. He nods to you. "I have much work to be done. My alpha with guide you." He nods to both of you before leaving. The alpha moving in front of you. He stops.
"The messengers have never steered us wrong. They are how we got here." He said gesturing his paw to the clearing. "I have my own duties to attend too, but feel free to explore. My wolves will let me know if the messenger was wrong." He said adding a growl to the final warning. He nodded, and before you could ask his name, he left. You stop and look around before deciding to explore. You talked to other wolves, and even chased a few butterflies with the pups. One invited you to lay down. As you did your exhaustion from the trip caught up with you, and you fell asleep. However, when you opened your eyes dawn was rising, and you were back in the small cave from earlier. However, your mind still remembers all of the encounters you had, and you wonder if it all was something other than a dream.
