History

Riitepolun lauma  was founded by a young female wolf called Jäälaulu. She was just ordinary wolf, who lived in her parents pack but she felt that something was missing in her life. Their pack had everything that wolf could need, cozy and warm den and rich hunting grounds. But for Jäälaulu this was not enough. She wanted to see more new places than everyone else in her parents pack. Because of this desire she started to question her parents rules and way of life. So in the end Jäälaulu decided to left her familypack and start to lve as nomad wolf. Soon after her flee from her birthpack she met another young wolf Rimion who was just like her, looking for new way of living. These two formed their own pack. Jäälaulu took position of leader and Rimion gladly became first her faithful companion and later her love of life and mate. After some time these two found other wolves to join their little pack which Jäälaulu named Riitepolun lauma. Jäälaulu and Rimion decided that they would not stay in one place too long.

Jäälaulu's reign is known as Founder's era, which covers the first eight years of Riitepolun Lauma's history. Besides Jäälaulu, there has been two other pack leaders and their eras. These are Era of Forests, pack leader Rawen Jäälaulu's reign from year eight to year 15 and Era of Cyclic Change, when Ruihel Jäälaulu was pack leader. Her reign lasted from year 15 to yaer 21.

Present

Remlas Jäälaulu claimed her place as pack leader right after her mother Ruihel Jäälaulu was deadth. Still so young and unexperienced Remlas wants to keep her mother's legacy alive. For that she will need help of other familymatriarch, packmembers and most of all, her mate Nemirion Yöpakkanen and his constant support. For the first year of her reign Remlas did not want to change packs living place, as they were mourning their previous pack leader. But next year she wanted to honor her mother legacy and pack started to move from biome to another again.

Families

Each family has matriarch who is in charge of family matters and pack leader consults matriarchs when they need to make decisions that have an influence on whole pack. For example if pack leader wants to move to a new biome. Every family has their own duties and roles in pack, like hunting, herbalism etc.. They also have gather knowledge from different biomes, like family Yöpakkanen is most familiar with Prairie. Packmembers that are not part of any families are as important members as those who are part of some family. They can also start a family of their own if they find suitable partner either inside the pack or from outside. But they will need pack leaders approval to do so.

Jäälaulu: Packleaders family that command whole pack. Founder of this family was jet colored and charming female Jäälaulu. Current matriarch and leader of the whole pack is Jäälaulu's great great grand daughter Remlas Jäälaulu. Members of Jäälaulu family can be leaders, hunters or scouts.

Yöpakkanen: First family of hunters, founded by black colored and dedicated female named Yöpakkanen. Current matriarch is sixth one and Yöpakkanen's descendant Eithilevren Yöpakkanen. Yöpakkanen family is specialised in hunting but members can take pupsitters role as well. This family has most knowledge of Prairie.

Routatassu: Family that is specialised in herbalism and its founder was helpful and gray colored wolf Routatassu. Current family matriarch is the seventh one and Routatassu's descendant Arasdil Routatassu. Pack leader Jäälaulu has decided that packs herbalist will always come from Routatassu family. Currently pack's herbalist is Arassion Routatassu, Arasdil Routatassu's firstborn son. Members of this family can be also hunters and Routatassu family is most familiar with Mountains.

Kuuraturkki: Second family of hunters. Their founder was dutiful gray wolf named Kuuraturkki. Current matriarch is sixth one and Kuuraturkki's descendant Daeben Kuuraturkki. Members of Kuuraturkki family are specialised only in hunting and this family has most knowledge of Coniferous Forest.

Lumiviima: First family that is specialised mostly in scounting. Founder of this family was black and precise wolf named Lumiviima and current matriarch is her great-great-grand-daughter Esgalnorhel Lumiviima. Members of this family can be either scouts or hunters. Family Lumiviima is most familiar with Grasslands.

Nietoshäntä: Founder of this family was streling colored and imaginative female Nietoshäntä and current matriarch is her daughter Forwen Nietoshäntä. Family Nietoshäntä is specialised mostly in hunting and pupsitting and they are most familiar with Swamp.

Caves

Riitepolun lauma has 3 different caves which do have their own purposes. Jääluola is for the pack leader and her or his family. Lepoluola is for sick packmembers and Lumiluola is for other packmembers that are not part of family Jäälaulu.
