The Ravens of Winter, also known as the Raven Coven, hail from the Lands Beneath the Ice. They came down to sleep at the mouth of the mountains so they could teach others to not fear Death in his coming, but to instead greet him as a friend.
The Father: The Father is the Father to all Duat. He teaches, he scolds he carries them from the nest and into the world. The Father is he who knows the wiles of Death and how to speak to them so they can forever walk with peace in their hearts until it is consumed by Ammut.
The Mother: The Mother bears life into the land cradled by death. She teaches the Shadows of injury. She teaches the Shadows of love. The Mother is she who spreads her wings and bathes them in the safety and security of the arms of death, but plucks the fear from them should they turn their eyes from death.
The Reaper: The Reaper is the Father's heir and come the time of injury or sickness he is to kill the Father or bury him in the event of his death and take over. He raises to the role of the Father and chooses his Reaper. In the case a Reaper dies before the Father it falls to the Father to lay in the grave with the Reaper and a new Father and Reaper chosen for the Reaper and Father are forever bound in an infinite cycle.
The Mystics: They are the ones who read the world and are the eyes of The Father and The Mother. When the Heads of the Coven are absent they are the ones one the Pack turns to. They know the True Tongue and can see beyond the skies what is to come. The Mystics work in a pair and never alone, as the Mother and Father do.
The Cradles: They hold the Shadows to their teats and ensure they are cared for when the Coven is away. They feed the Shadows who have lost their kin to death and nurture the shadows until they are grown.
The Hunters: They are who search for the flesh and carrion that will feed the Coven. Theirs is the way of Death and know not the will of life. To bring death is to preserve life. They are brutal and serve the Father and the Mother with the utmost ferocity.
The Watchers: They fly through the skies and search for the truth. The truth that surrounds the lands will bring power to the coven. If one cannot learn one will die. They bring lessons and they teach the coven what it is they need to survive.
The Shadows: Too young to fly, too small to join the Coven. So they must stay, watch and listen. They must learn and advance until they can stand among their elders and see the truth.
