beginnings;

imperius started from nothing but a wolf named azonia, her best friend razmu, and a dream. azonia collected strays and those without anywhere else to turn in order to start building up a ragtag group of determined canines that would become the pack she would lead. azonia led bravely, putting order into place and giving her pack members a home and a place to work for. despite the pack's humble beginnings, it grew into somewhat of a kingdom. azonia embraced the title of queen proudly, bestowing roles and jobs upon her pack members based on their skills and personalities.

social beliefs;

the wolves of imperius care deeply about looks and markings that fit well together. pretty wolves are thought highly of, while the less attractive pack members are looked down upon. if a pup is too plain or undesirable, the mother will often reject it, or the current monarch will leave it at the edge of the territory after it is weaned so that another pack may come and take it in. imperius often does not go for traditional relationships, while some wolves take a singular mate, it is not uncommon for wolves to take multiple mates, or simply hop from wolf to wolf for whoever would produce the best looking pups.

religion;

the wolves of imperius believe in a conjoined twin god. castor and pollux. neither are necessarily good or evil. one is gentle, submissive, and self-sacrificing (castor). one is direct, confident, and courageous (pollux). the twins do not get along, but they are forced to lead together, trapped in one body.

current;

the wolves of imperius are an odd bunch. shrouded in mystery and moral conflict. they are often led by a mated monarch pair- though all members within the pack tend to hold their own beliefs, their own way of living- regardless of who is "in power". the monarchs are not moral guides. they are merely caretakers. they make sure the pack is thriving, while the members pull their own wait and go about their own lives.
