Moon Glow Pack
Deep in the tall grass of the grasslands, the resides a peculiar wolf pack. Form not around a alpha or leader; but around the moon and the luck they glean from the rituals performed under its glow.
If you ask some of how they began these rituals; some would tell you the pack always had praised the moon for the luck and belief that they would achieve their goals if they wished hard enough; but, the older ones and elders would tell you that the pack formed around a hope to keep a pack's hope and determination up by giving them a way to work harder. That the rituals do not guarantee you wish to come true, but help you work hard to help their friends or loved ones.
The rituals are just a good luck charm, something that just holds sentimental value that just happened to 'work' in the eyes of some wolves.
They would tell you of a young wolf that traveled far from his lands, wounded and an outcast for his wishes to help those he loved. He was helped by other lone wolves, who also shared his goals and wanted a safe place to call home.
So, they formed a small pack; and, under the new moon, he wished for a strength and the determination to keep the pack together as one and to not let his new packmates down.
Soon, slowly, more and more wolves started sending silent wishes and hopes towards the darkened moon and celebrating their accomplishments when the moon is full and bright. They buried their lost members under the moon's glow and celebrated the birth of the new in the darkness.
In the end, it's just a tradition passed down the pack's descendants; they don't ask for others to join them if they refuse, but welcome them to celebrate on their own time.
And, over time, the coats of some of the pack members glow under the moon and stars; a blessing or pure coincidence? No one knows, but gave the pack a name: Moon Glow.
The moon became so special, no wolf in the pack derives their names from the celestial body in the endless sky. It felt like they took the magic from it by naming their own members after it's beauty.
Well, now that you know more about the mysterious practices of the Moon Glow, do you stay for a while longer? Or do you continue your journey?
They wish you luck on your travels all the same.
Shall we look at the moon, my little loon
Why do you cry?
Make the most of your life, while it is rife
While it is light
Well you do enough talk
My little hawk, why do you cry?
Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn?
Or the Fourth of July?
We're all gonna die
