Skytracers
The Skytracers began among one solitary she-wolf named Sunwalker who took 10 lone pups into her care. Of her three sisters, each died from a different disease and left behind a legacy. With the world hot and dry, lacking water and good food, Sunwalker sought stability for her orphaned nieces and nephews. She used these smart and intelligent cubs to build a pack that she could care for and lead amongst the harsh conditions of the world. Once the 10 pups got older, Sunwalker began to train them, each of which showed interest in different specialties and skills. As the days grew longer and hotter, survivability became more bearable as the pups took turns at the pack's home to build spaces for shade, bring water to each bed area, and prepare safe spaces to store herbs. While nine pups did this each day, she took turns leading the one other pup out for a patrol of the territory. Her goal? To find which one might be the best fit to become the next alpha.
As the years passed by, other wolves joined the pack, taken in by Sunwalker's charity and compassion. The pups continued to take care of the other wolves each day while Sunwalker led one of their siblings on patrol. The importance of the other nine cubs at home was stressed heavily. Without this work being completed, the other wolves would suffer from old bones, dehydration, and starvation. But the pups began to grow bored of their responsibility, sleeping in, running off on their own, and ignoring the pertinent tasks that needed to be completed to keep the pack afloat. An older, solitary male wolf named Dijun found a problem with the pups' sloth as the other pack members who could not do the work on their own began to suffer. One night, while the pups slept, he slipped a poisonous berry in each pup's food; however, he was one berry short which had been disposed of the night before by another young pup within the pack unknowingly. In the morning, while the pups ate their fill before beginning their duties, all but one fell from the toxin. Though while the problem was removed, the last pup remaining shouldered the responsibility of her brethren, training hard to become the next alpha and saving the pack from perpetual suffering.
