The Awyr Pack
ABOUT PACK
The Awyr Pack has had a valiant past. Wales—more specifically, the Hafren Forest—is home to this pack. The founders of this pack are Skygazer (formerly known as Sky or Awyr) and Nightrunner (formerly known as Night or Nos). Since they first met beside a river and instantly bonded, these two wolves have never been spotted apart! They aid wolves that require immediate help, which causes 75% of them to join the two. They grew over the course of a few months, to the point that Sky decided to formally create the pack and name it The Awyr Pack in honor of herself. She then changed her name to Skygazer and declared her official leadership by gazing at the full moon and howling fiercely (which was now considered an official ceremony). Within her pack, she created rules, customs, and connections. .
ROLE ORGANIZATION
There are suffixes in this pack that correspond to each role. It is not given to adolescents until they reach adulthood. These will continue to be maintained.
-gazer = Pack leader. The pack's leader guides and provides assistance to the others. The reason behind the word is that they follow a ceremony.
↳ When the present leader must retire due to getting too old, the ritual will begin. There will always be an aide to the leader who will take over as the new leader. The two depart in the dead of night and ascend a large rock that is located far from where they reside. As the moon rises high in the sky, the leader turns to face the brightest star in the sky, which is said to be the location of their ancestors' final resting place. They speak to them, and when they notice a "blink" in it (or when they sense a presence close by), they interpret that as approbation. The ritual is concluded with the leader howling, followed by the new leader. In order to ensure that the new leader is aware of the responsibilities they must accept, they must maintain a silent vigil.
-watcher = Scouts. The leader sends scouts into uncharted territory so that they can eventually travel there themselves.
-keeper = Healers. These wolves are the ones taking care of those who are ill. They also forage herbs and discover new cures for certain illnesses.
-runner = Hunters. They are sent out to hunt nearly on a daily basis to provide for the pack, finding as small as critters to as large as deers.
-protector = Pupsitters. They take care and watch over cubs, making sure that they survive as they grow.
