Ragakao Pack
The soft caws of crows fill the air, fluttering about just above your head. The more you trudge deeper into the territory, the more the stench of rot filters through the soft, and cold winds. The grass under your paws crunches crisply, dry as it becomes after a drought. It feels oddly familiar, this territory, as if you'd been here long before, perhaps as a pup. The atmosphere looms just above your head, taunting you with a sense of anxiety that you can't seem to shake. As if you aren't supposed to be there.
Despite the fear there is no stench of death. Only the shifting of seasons, of titles, of paws. The transition between two <-places, between memories, death and life.
Perhaps this place is limbo, you think as you pad through rotting leaf.
You don't find yourself minding it all, in spite of that realization.
You're calm.
Everything feels.. Fine.
Like you're back at home, finally after so long...
Choices that are not their own
Bridges between two worlds, transitions are places of mystery and rumors. Tales of lions and violent savannahs speak of the other side, where the trees and fog merge into one pathway. The worlds touch so closely that one finds it difficult to figure which side they're on. A cursed thing, perhaps. It speaks of bad luck to the pack who lives here, stubborn things they are. They prowl the mountain range with the same torturous need as Sisyphus' own. They hate each other, that much is true, but their desire to protect- to hide this secret (a secret they still do not understand) clings to their every thought, their every want and need. Without this- without them protecting the portals, what is their purpose? That answer, they do not know
Inner Workings
- Names are to be received from the portal. Only the pup and it's mother will leave for it, no one else comes with them.
- Herbalists are to be isolated from the rest of the pack, hidden deep in the forest, training alone. Only the leader is to retrieve them.
- Companions are to lead the pack in place of the Leader, if it is called for. In the instance the Companion is dead, or unavailable, consult the portal.
- Ignore the scouts, venturing off into the fog often ruins their mind. After a point they will become unusable to the clan. In such an instance, lead the scout through the portal.
- Hunters are to make sure that they do not hunt and eat the infected.
- Kill anyone with any signs of infection, for the safety of the pack.
