Four wolves set out upon an aimless journey, one following another, each running away from their past. Somehow along the way to this frozen wasteland they build a family, taking in many a pack-less pup as their own (they also get polyam wolf married.)

The second generation inherits a large, but still-unnamed pack. They encounter issues much greater than can be solved through love alone. (Such as a sleeping plague. I don't even think these guys believe in magic tbh they're just taking what's thrown at 'em.)
The volunteer heirs continue to welcome any lost outsider into their home, and that policy brings good fortune in the form of new ideas, new skills, and someone to take the figurehead 'leader' position without risking family drama.
