The Pack of Warm Cedar
In an otherwise unremarkable stretch of oak and maple trees, often laid bare by winter's cold, there is a stand of dense, low-growing cedar trees. The thick, reaching boughs offer shelter from the elements no matter the season. In the middle of this grove is a huge, weathered stump of some long-dead forest giant. A hollow has been made underneath it, and from there you may be able to hear the whimpers of pups.
This is the heart of the Pack of Warm Cedar.

Pack Traditions:
The Pack Leader shall alternate between female and male by generation. The Heir shall always be of the Pack Leader's blood.
The Pack Leader shall always take a mate from an unrelated pack. That mate is not to be shared among the pack and is a lifelong partner.
Pack Leaders, their mates, and the Heir are granted short names, swift as the wind. All other packmates have names that flow like a gentle stream.
When a packmate reaches six years of age, an apprentice must be chosen from the pack pups and be trained to take their place. This pup can be chosen before the packmate reaches six years if they show promise, but never after.
The pack young are precious. No pup shall be driven from the pack before they come of age.
The Homeland is as part of the pack as our blood and bone. The pack mustn't change territories no matter how well the prey may run elsewhere.
