Cloudy Dreamers Pack
"The name 'Shadowstar' fits you, the new alpha of The Land of The Dreamers... Hold your head high, your mother would be proud of you, young Reigh." Snowpelt looked up at her childhood friend with soft eyes. She stuttered with every breath she took. Shadowstar met her gaze with sorrow, watching the life flutter from her.
"Please don't leave me, Nala. I need you here, you're my best friend." He cried, knowing it wouldn't do much now. He knew tonight his friend would be in the dynasty with his mother. She replied to his tears with a lick to the cheek before closing her eyes. Shadowstar watched as she passed over. He let out an agonizing howl, met by dozens of other mourning wolves of his pack.

"Nala!" a small voice called through the vicious winds that blew in the treacherous snow. Under a small burrow under fallen trees sat a small pup, no older than three months old. The crisp air nipped at the tiny bundle of scrap. He squinted his eyes fighting through the blizzard looking for his older friend. Soon, a slender looking female slinked towards him, her white pelt shaking in the snow. In her mouth she dragged a rather skinny white rabbit. The young she-wolf, only six months old, dropped the kill in front of the pup.
"Eat up, Reigh. We need to keep moving." she spoke, the tenderness in her voice still present through the coarse crackling of her frostbitten vocal cords. She turned her gaze coolly to the outside. Reigh looked at her and wondered what she was thinking before deciding the fresh kill was more intriguing.
"But where are we even going?" Reigh asked between bites. His paws were tired, and he longed for his mother's touch. Thinking of her made his heart drop, knowing he would never feel that love again. He thought back to the heartbreaking sight of his mother and sisters plummeting underneath ice and swept away by a current.
"To the land of Dreamers." Nala responded, her cold gaze never glancing back to meet Reigh's broken eyes. Reigh looked up at his friend with curious eyes. He was taught about the packs by his mother. She used to lull him to sleep with tales of running with a bunch of wolves as tight as blood. He sat silently crunching on the rabbit's scrawny bones.
"I'm ready," he called out to the older pup. Without saying a word Nala climbed to her feet and turned to Reigh. With a nod the pair set out on their way, not knowing what the future held.
