Boreal🐾🌿

Boreal wasn't always like this. One day on a trip deep into the forest, he came back with moss over growing his fur and swoops of vibrant green interweaving though it. Forvellatia took one look at him and proclaimed he beheld a Shard of Power and whisked him away into the forest where no other wolf went to, "Teach him the Ways of The Known". There, she showed him that she bore a Shard of Power herself which gifted her the ability to understand the language of the stars and thus have inklings of what will come, has come, and may come to pass.

Under her careful teaching, Boreal discovered the abilities of his Shard of Power: to speak the language of the hidden places and the silent mosses. Where once the forest was alive with twitters and skitters of normal woodland creatures, Boreal heard a new level of life from the whispers and chatter of the green things around him. Green things may not know what the future brings, and all may not keep record of the past as long as the trees do, but they do watch and listen, and that they do well. Who just past this way? Where is the nearest water source? Where is the nearest last resting place of a creature? Where are they thriving? Where are they dying? The answers to these are what they whisper.

The other pack members don't quite understand how he knows the ins and outs of the forest so deeply, but they all agree he has been blessed with the gift of intuition which will serve him well in his coming years.
