Faunus was chosen by Holt to become the next herbalist, a decision that caused a bit of controversy among the pack. There are whispers about his origins, due to his closed off and secretive nature. Wolves assume, because of his unwillingness to share his past he must be hiding something. Regardless, Holt saw his gift with plants, and he desire to help others. It took some persuading, however Faunus accepted, under the condition Holt would retire early enough to fully train him.
Wolves of the pack are wary around Faunus, they whisper he works with dark magic. However, he is trusted by all, to both heal and protect the pack. Despite being the healer of the pack, he is the first one to drive outsiders away, his intensity and strength allow him to be a fierce defender. While both Skadi and Aerglo are away in the dreamlands, it is Faunus who leads and directs the pack, ensuring the safety of the pack and it's leaders.
