Secret Valley

Home for the Lost and Forgotten, Sanctuary for the Abandon

In a hidden valley tucked away, there exists a pack of wolves from all different backgrounds. Surrounded by mist and fog, and hidden under towering trees, wolves lost and alone can find refuge. Outsiders cannot find this valley through the maze of trees, leading to legends of ghost walking among the trees.

The pack has not existed for long, if was founded by Skadi and Aerglo, both alone after getting separated from their originals packs, they had agreed to help the other find their pack. Together they traveled the forest, never finding their way out but comforted they weren't alone. They were found by Tala, after wandering the forest for weeks. Lost in the forest, they chose to follow Tala and she led them to a beautiful valley, and it was here they decided to stay. The first wolf to join them was Merewood, an older wolf who had spent most of her life alone, she helped guide them, as the turned their valley into a sanctuary for any who need it. All wanders are welcome, although not all who are found stay, and they have grown, strong and healthy. Shortly after Aerglo and Skadi settled their pack, the Dreamlands appeared, curious both decided to explore this strange world. Both spent multiple nights, walking through the shifting lands in their dreams, and when the Dreamlands vanished and the two awoke, the pack found their coats had changed, a permanent reminder of what had disappeared.

To All Who Are Lost

As the pack has continued to grow, they have offered aid to surrounding packs, but remain secluded. The valley was hidden for a reason, and its sanctuary will be defended for as long as it is needed. Whispers travel through other packs and wanderers, about a pack of ghosts who can never be found, leaving many to believe the forest is haunted. Leaving curious wolves to only see shapes and shadows through the mist. Only those who are truly lost can find the valley, only those who are invited can stay. Whispers between packs tell tale of wolves who entered the trees to never return, lost in the trees forever.

The pack harbors no ill wishes, but they remain neutral, those who are lost and those considered friends will always be welcomed, and those intending harm will be driven away.

• All wolves have the option to retire and become mentors at age 5. All Hunters and Pupsitters can retire at 6.5 years, and all officially retire at age 7. The Herbalist is encouraged to retire at age 6 - 6.5 so they can see to the training to the next Herbalist. No wolf is forced to stay in a role they do not like, and pack roles may shift as newcomers find the role that fits them best.
