The Dovgrohiik Pact lore is based around The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Each wolf is actually a dragon infected with the disease sanies lupinus - lycanthropy. They worship Hircine, the Daedric Prince of the Hunt.
Dragons speak a language called Dovahzul, and this website functions as a reliable translator. Dovgrohiik (plural: Dovgrohikke) transliterates to "dragonkind wolf" and refers to a dragon with lycanthropy. Sossegrohiik means "wolfblood" or "blood of the wolf" and can refer to any werewolf, not just dragons.
Each name is compromised of three words, and each word has only one syllable. The names may represent something the individual has done, their personality, their role, or their appearance. Traditional names may emphasize themes such as power or war, but the Pact's values differ from typical dragon culture.
Members of the Dovgrohiik Pact value balance and good sportsmanship. Violence with no cause is unnecessary, and hunting prey that stood no chance is dishonorable. Respecting the circle of life is of utmost importance! You take what you need, and you take nothing more.
Due to the nature of the Pact, members can come in many different shapes and sizes. Anyone with sossegrohiik can join. Most dragonwolves are dragons that infected themselves with lycanthropy for spiritual reasons, while others were born with it. Dragonwolves that are born as werewolves are called vahzah dovgrohikke - true dragonwolves - and are often considerably smaller, more lithe, and have more fur. Dovahkiin - humans born with dragonblood - that are werewolves are accepted by the Pact as well. Of course, there are even regular wolves interspersed within the pack.
By willingly becoming a werewolf, a dragon rejects their immortality and begins the arduous and painful process of becoming joor - mortal. All dragonwolves become mortal over time, and when they die their souls are claimed by Hircine and sent to the Hunting Grounds, Hircine's realm of Oblivion. All wolves contained within the in-game dynasty are considered to be within this realm.
