There was a man, except there are no men, only wolves. So there was a wolf, standing on four paws, staring with its red eyes and its big head and its wrinkled muzzle and its shiny teeth. Then it closed its mouth and turned away, and maybe it went and sat on its hill with its companion and its pack and its family, or maybe it went and stared at the setting sun and then the rising stars, eyes sharp enough to see even the faintest of the faint.
Maybe it turned around and died. Just fell over dead and rotted away and turned to dirt and dust and never saw another sunrise or sunset or star again.
But maybe it didn't.
