After traveling for days upon days, you come across a small glade in the forest. You begin hearing the playing of pups and talk amongst wolves. You slowly make your way closer and the view of a flourishing pack is in your view. You decide to see if they'll offer you rest. As you begin to make your way towards the view, a sandy pelted wolf steps in front of you
"Who are you and what is your business in our territory?" he quickly snaps at you with distrust.
You.. yourself aren't entirely sure what your business is. You do know it's better not to be seen as a threat.
You quickly try to explain yourself, but.. you seem unable to find your voice at that moment.
"Answer me.. before I chase you off with your tail between your legs" He growls in a demanding tone.
Before you get ready to decide your next move, a wolf walks up.
"Asher, who is this wolf? and stop being so aggressive. It makes you look...ugly" The wolf calmly scolds, but with a teasing tone.
Looking at the new wolf, you're not entirely sure how this'll go now. You become slightly nervous at the thought of being outnumbered. If this were to go south.. it'd be the end of you.
"They're trespassing! How else should I react, Windu?! They aren't even answering my questions. That's suspicious enough" He huffs with irritation at his doubt of him.
You stand there as they bicker. Still deciding on whether you should walk away and give up on the hope of food or shelter for sundown. Is it even worth it anymore if it costs your neck?
"Asher, calm yourself before you twist a paw. They're harmless. I can sense it from whisperers of the Dreamlands" he states as if a fact with a small kind smile towards you.
Asher Grumbles off respecting that you're now a guest. He knows better than to mess with Windu or Dreamland's choices.
"Hello, I am Windu. I can tell you're fatigued from your travels" he turns and begins walking off without a word.
You stand there frozen, not entirely sure if you follow or not..
Should you even trust these wolves anymore? What even are the Dreamlands? You have so many questions. But before you can even ask, you look up, seeing Windu a few paws ahead and turning his head towards you.
"Aren't you hungry? Come along if you wish not to starve yourself. We enjoy the company anyways" he questions and awaits for you to join him.
At the mention of food, your body begins to move forward. With a small smile of gratitude you join the she wolf.
