As you enter the clearing, you catch the eyes of several wolves scattered about the place, observing you wordlessly. They don't appear hostile, but why aren't any of them greeting you? Suddenly, your answer comes to you: these wolves are keeping the company of a flock of sandhill cranes and, somehow, the birds hold all the authority here. One crane in particular looks you up and down with interest.
"Welcome!" it says after a moment, rising to its feet. "You're free to stay as long as you like, but you should know we move around with the seasons. We won't stay here too long."
