It seemed that Atka achieved perfection today, at least in comparison with a couple of trials before. She jumped with joy and ran to her parents to prove that she was almost an adult now!

Atka was in charge of describing everything she saw today while out exploring with Raven, down to the last detail. She struggled more than she expected, not realizing just how hard it was to rely upon her memory.

Atka was born in a pack located in the mountains. The forest was full of different plants and animal species. However, the paths to the Apollo pack were secret to outsiders. Atka quickly realized that she was different from her siblings. She was shunned by many, especially because of her cat-like eyes. She usually slipped away at night to roam the forest and explore everything. But that day she got lost. To get her orientation back, she climbed a mountain. She was surprised when she saw that the outside world was much bigger than she thought. That day she decided not to turn back, but to leave the pack.

She had been living in the north for a few years now. When she was looking for prey at night, she was surprised by a grizzly bear. It had already hit her on the front leg, making it impossible to escape. She was already preparing to say goodbye to the world when suddenly a strange wolf with unique fur jumped onto the grizzly's back and killed it with a bite.

But now the wolf was coming towards her. He looked deep into her eyes. Atka expected to see the same reaction, to feel the same aversion she had experienced in her previous pack.
The stranger opened his mouth and spoke:" Your eyes...they...they look like sapphires.....They have the same shine as a gemstone...". He helped her up and they ended up walking on together...

They had now lived together for 3 years in the deep forests of the north. In front of their cave stretched a clear and long stream. It was the depths of winter, which made hunting difficult, especially as there were only two of them. They therefore decided to head back south west, to the mountains to be precise. The journey was long and arduous, but eventually they reached the forest....or rather, what was left of it..... Animal carcasses lay everywhere, the majority of the trees were leafless, some were rotting. They both had a bad feeling... At a once beautiful pond that Atka remembered from her childhood lay an emaciated wolf.

His body was covered in furless patches, he had many wounds and his eyes were lifeless. They approached the sick wolf, who looked at them and whispered with the last bit of strength he had left...:" Help...the Apollo Pack.... "Rigid with fear, Atka sat before the river, eyes fixed on the dead wolf of the Apollo Pack....Dorian dug a hole and buried the wolf to pay his last respects.
Atka immediately set off with Dorian to her former pack. On their way they saw many lifeless wolf bodies...Atka was still in shock but Dorian was able to calm her down. When they arrived at the pack, they desperately searched for any survivors... but couldn't find any... at one point they heard what sounded like a wolf whimpering...

Atka winced. Even Dorian, who was actually very brave, bared his teeth. With their fur raised and walking particularly silently, they crept on to the place where they suspected the wolf was. Terrified, they stood there and saw the whole spectacle with their own eyes.
A gigantic wolf was standing on a large rock with a cave underneath it. Its fur was Black, all black with no markings. It stretched from the front feet to the belly and extended over the nose in the face. Despite his stately figure, you could see his age. Atka whispered with a trembling voice:
"This wolf...Amarok..... he is still alive...I would never have dared to believe."
On the ground in front of the entrance to the cave lay a young wolf, his leg was broken and he was bleeding profusely... All around the rock were other pack members...they were scared too.
Suddenly he began to speak: "Listen carefully, my servants! All those who do not obey my orders have the choice of being slaughtered by me or fleeing to the outside world, which is ravaged by a deadly plague. *He jumped from the high rock to the ground at the feet of the wolf lying on the ground* Only the strong can survive this plague . I will mercilessly leave the weak ones behind. " He was just about to break the young wolf's neck when Atka stormed out of her hiding place.

"As the Alpha, you should have known that this land was going to ruin! The trees are rotting, the prey is becoming scarce, the plants are dying ...You were afraid! You always wanted to be the sole ruler, but in the outside world you wouldn't have been able to keep your pack together!"
- "Who do you think you are, outsider?!" He suddenly interrupted Atka.
- "I am Atka! I left this pack many years ago and came to save this pack with your death!"
The alpha was boiling with rage and as he stormed towards Atka he shouted: "TRY IT IF YOU WANT TO DIE!"
With his right front paw, he tried to strike her back. Atka dodged the attack at the last second and countered with a bite to his belly. He cried out and managed to grab Atka's paw at the same moment. He flung her through the air. Although the attack was very sudden, atka managed to land on a rock and immediately jump back in his direction.
Dorian had sneaked up behind him and pulled his feet out from under him. He fell and Atka bit into his neck as hard as she could. He tried to shake Atka off with all his might but Dorian wouldn't let him. He punched him in the snout, sending him reeling. You could hear his bones break and he screamed to the surprise of everyone who had witnessed the spectacle: "I...I give up! Let go of me now!"

Atka didn't let up and held on to him for a while, but then she began to speak:" Your reign ends here and now! Leave this pack, leave this territory...NO Leave the world! " and with this last sentence she broke his neck.
Without even looking at the faces of the other wolves, she went to Dorian, who was with the young wolf who had been attacked by the former alpha.
"He is still alive, Dorian said, but without treatment he will die..."
Although Atka didn't particularly like other wolves, she replied: "Let's take him with us...he can't and shouldn't stay here!"
Dorian took him on his back and the two were about to make their way to another biom not affected by the plague when they heard footsteps behind them. When they turned around, the entire Apollo pack was behind them. One stood in front of the others and he said: "We will follow you my Alpha." So Atka became the alpha of the pack she had left several years ago.
