Conjointed pack lore! with Uni:
"Come on, guys! This is our first patrol, we've gotta do good! October trusted us with this!"
Idyll, an earth-colored wolf with the eternal youth of an axolotl, led the trio as she raced up over a small hill and smiled happily in the sunshine. Her tail wagged behind her, and her fiery orange eyes sparkled.
She glanced behind her as Achilles, New Kin Pack's designated Herbalisr with cheerier rainbow fur than his outlook on life, called,
"Wait up, Idyll. Not all of us have the amount of insufferable energy you have."
He sounded annoyed as he hobbled after her. He tried to be friendly and approachable when he was home, but he couldn't keep the act up twenty-four/seven.
Idyll's expression was playful.
"C'mon! It's not my fault you're as slow as a slug!"
Achilles put on a casual smile, but it didn't reach his eyes, one of which twitched.
"Slugs actually have very many medicinal qualities, and…"
He trailed off to see if she was listening, and it turned out she wasn't. She was staring ahead at a cluster of vague shadows approaching. Achilles' ears pricked and he stood alert even as his expression turned nonchalant and neutral, vague enough that he could seem friendly and trustworthy but not friendly enough to let anything walk all over him.
Idyll jumped like a rabbit when Clair (voyant) appeared next to her, their voice barely above a hushed whisper, their three illuminated pink eyes absent as if they were having another premonition. Their brown fur flew in the wind.
"…Wolves."
They murmured softly.
A small purple-blue-and-brownish-grey pup bounded forward, it's jarring human eyes darting around. Clair(voyant)'s blank expression never changed as they stepped towards the pup and picked it up by the scruff of its neck. It whined, but they didn't reply.
Just as Clair(voyant) was done picking up the purple-blue-and-brownish-grey pup by the scruff, another pup appeared, this one sliding towards them playfully as he attempted to grab the other pup by the tail, failing.
Before anyone had time to process the situation, another Wolf appeared, this one an adult, jet black with various brown markings. She immediately stepped in front of the grey and black pup, looking at the other wolves with an apologetic smile and spoke:
"I'm sorry, he's very energetic today, he just loves to play and means no harm~" She explained, attempting to excuse the pups actions.
Behind her came trying to catch up two more wolfs, one grey, with a dark brown Shepherd marking and blue eyes, the other, had with deep black eyes and fur with shades of red and Orange almost like dusk.
Both wolevs stopped behind her, the grey and brown Wolf looking down at the pup with a silent but scolding look, while the red and Orange one came forward, looking at the black and brown Wolf who had introduced herself as «Shadow» already, he then spoke:
"My queen, is everything ok?" He asked, worriedly, it was immediately noticeable that Shadow was the queen of whatever pack these wolves came from. Shadow jsut gave him a sweet but dismissive stare, picking up their own pup and putting him away to lick him of any dirt.
The red and Orange Wolf then came forward, introducing him as Voyant, a Hunter from the Apollo Mountains pack, the other wolves have certainly heard of this pack, living deep in the mountains...so why were they here?
Idyll's bright eyes would light up when she saw the other wolves, a reaction not many would expect. Achilles would put on a casual grin, Clair(voyant) would fall completely silent to stare oddly at Voyant, and the pup with the frightening eyes would smile eagerly as it saw the other pack's pup.
"Hello, I'm Idyll!" The earth-colored she-wolf greeted, while the pup Clair(voyant) set down lunged at her wagging tail. She glanced over at Shadow with an interested expression.
"Huh, a Queen, huh? That's pretty cool! Does that mean you're the leader of your pack? I'm a Queen of sorts too, but I'm not the leader of the New Kin Pack."
Achilles snickered, and Idyll frowned briefly before elaborating to Shadow,
"Well, it's hard to say I'm a Queen when my mate, our leader, would also be a Queen, right? So, I just use different words for myself until I found one I like. Second-in-command… no. Next-in-line… ehhh, no. …Right-paw-wolf… mayb—- no."
As Idyll seemed to lose track of the conversation and veer off into potential names, Achilles muttered,
"You spend too much time around October."
He turned to the group to introduce himself next. "I'm Achilles, New Kin Pack's Herbalist. If you have and wolves will illnesses, I can cure them…" His eyes glinted strangely. "…maybe."
When he'd finished speaking, he turned to Clair(voyant) with an expectant expression, but they only stared at Voyant. The Herbalist stepped closer to them, both of their noses almost touching, and whispered almost aggressively, "Introduce yoursesf."
Clair(voyant) didn't reply, but rather than taking a step back, they lifted a paw and pushed him away. They stared straight at him for a while until he lowered his tail and backed off. Then, they turned to the group and said,
"My name is Clair(voyant), but it gets to be a mouthful for a lot of wolves to say, so you can call me Clair…" They turned to lock eyes with Voyant, their expression more curious or interested than anything else. "…or Voyant, but that would get confusing."
Their pup, who had yet to be introduced, wound between their legs and barked. The little thing seemed especially hyper. Achilles made a face of disgust, likely at its eyes, but Clair(voyant) leaned their head down to groom its colorful fur. They wore the faintest smile.
"This is Starseer."
Achilles snorted as Clair(voyant) introduced the pup, but the three-eyed wolf ignored him.
"If a man deceives me once, shame on him; if he deceives me twice, shame on me."
