Lumi

Lumi was found by Ash on a dark and stormy night. Cold and staving, she had been kicked out of her previous pack do to overpopulation and was in desperate need of shelter and care. Pitying her, Ash invited her into her pack and personally cared for her until she was back in good health. She will always thank Ash for saving her that day, as if she had been left to fend for herself, she wouldn't have survived.

When there is a shortage of pupsitters, she helps take care of the pups, so they never have to feel lonely.

Lumi has always had a fascination with water and often watched the rain as a pup. It's combined strength and beauty intrigued her. She loved to listen to tales of great storms from her grandmother and eventually learned to "read the ripples" as her grandmother called it; looking to the water in times of need and hearing the whispers of its spirit which offer her guidance and courage. She fully believes that it was the water that led her to Moon on that dark and stormy night, and she finds a sense of comfort in it's presence.

On the day Lumi gave birth to her first litter, a large male cougar wandered near her den, endangering her pups. However, as she stood in front of her pups, ready to die for them, a beaver den from a river uphill broke because of the heavy floods from a recent storm. The cougar was knocked over by the shear force of the water and ran away in fear. Luckily for Lumi, the water surged past her and her pups to lower ground, leaving them unharmed. Lumi cried with joy and thanked the water for all it's done for her. She now believed even more strongly that the water was always there for her, and she had better learned how to call on it for help.
