Biography
Ash is a traveler from far away lands and the founder of The Clan of Man Stars. The day she found the forest her pack now claims, she saw a strange blue creature bounding through the undergrowth (which she would later learn is called a Dear Mouse). Intrigued, she followed it until she came to the place she now lives. Later, she would learn that what she saw was a lunar creature, and that in this forest, the connection between the natural and lunar worlds were stronger than normal, causing wolves to not only interact with lunar creatures, but also change overtime into more and more magical beings than they once were. This causes the wolves in the forest to change in fur color and develop new features, as well as gain new abilities and strengths. She named her clan after that connection that they began to have to the lunar world or the world shrouded in many stars.
Raven:
Ash had never really liked Raven, but he did happen to be the first wolf she met. As she walked with Tala down the windy forest path and howled out the message that she was looking for pack-mates, Raven was the first wolf to appear. Despite their differences, they both agreed it would be beneficial to team up and start a pack, for there is value in numbers. Ash had never wanted to mate with him; she felt no love towards him and knew she never would. However, since they needed young, strong members for the good of the pack, it was the best option.
They broke up shortly after their pups were born. They could hardly stand each other, and now that that the clan of many Stars had an official breeding male, their pair wasn't needed anyway. Ash was glad that they could be free from each other, and she hoped someday she could find actual love, though she'd never found it before.
Lumi:
Ash found Lumi one stormy night. She was just a little ball of fluff in the rain and thunder. She knew that she had to get the wolf to safety, and quickly as Lumi was starved half to death. Once she got the wolf back to camp she hurried over to the herbalist, Hawk. In the next few days, Ash saw to it personally that Lumi recovered, often sitting by her as Hawk fed her and tended to her wounds. In the time that they spent together the two became quite close. They were both kindhearted wolves and equally observant. After Lumi had recovered Ash would check up on her in her den every now and then.
Zinnia:
Ash met Zinnia when her pack was just starting up. As she walked down a windy forest path a glimpse of bright red fur caught her eye. She could see a bright red wolf to her right with a little white blaze across her nose. As she walked over to introduce herself she noticed an empty sort of look in the wolf's eyes. As they introduced each other Ash was both fascinated and horrified by Zinnia's story, and Zinnia seemed equally as awestruck by her's.They ended up talking until the sun set. Ash knew she wanted to help this wolf, and she was sure Zinnia would be useful to her pack. She invited Zinnia to join her and was weirdly happy when she agreed. Something about this wolf seemed to make her feel all warm inside but she couldn't figure out why or how. They walked back to Ash's camp together as night fell, and Ash never did figure out the cause.
As the months went by, Zinnia's eyes seemed to get brighter and brighter, until they simply glowed with happiness. Ash wondered if this was normal for Zinnia, and she defiantly didn't mind one bit. The two had become great friends and Zinnia made her immensely happy, so she overjoyed that Zinnia finally seemed to feel the same. They became inseparable and Ash would have gladly spent her life this way. Zinnia was a little scatterbrained at times, but if anything, Ash found it endearing. She felt different when she spent time with Zinnia and in the best way possible. However, something changed that Ash had never expected before she could even resize what was happening. Zinnia told Ash about a beautiful glade surrounded by roses and insisted Ash come with her to see it. Ash was busy, but she loved spending time with Zinnia so she agreed and followed her out of camp once she had an opening in her work. The two trotted trough the forest happily until they reached the glade. Zinnia was right. The glade was absolutely stunning. Ash stared at it in awe before looking over at Zinnia, who was smiling brightly. She was glad to have someone so close to her who could give her a break every now and then. Zinnia booped her with her nose before exclaiming "catch me if you can!" and darting away. The two laughed as they chased each other through the roses. Later they settled down in the center of the glade panting and laying in the grass, watching the clouds pass. That was when it happened. Zinnia looked nervous and told Ash she had a question for her. Ash happily looked over as Zinnia spoke. She asked Ash if she would be willing to be her mate. Ash's jaw dropped. She had never thought about becoming mates with another female wolf before. She stared at Zinnia. Her bright green eyes twinkled like stars, and Ash realized that she did love Zinnia. Maybe she always had. Ash leapt open Zinnia smothering her in kisses. And from there the two were bonded. Never had their been a better pair.
Cosmo:
One evening, as the sun set over the tree tops, Ash and Zinnia had come to Lillemor to adopt a pup. Zinnia had always wanted pups, but had never succeeded in having any, and Ash was going to support her no matter what. Not that Ash didn't want to adopt a pup as well; the pups she had with her former mate were technically hers, but they were more or less raised by the pack instead of Ash and she felt like she barely knew them. Though it made her guilty to think about, they just ended up being little reminders of the relationship she was stuck in with Raven. This time, Ash wanted to do it right and raise a pup that her and her partner loved with all of their hearts.
The two greeted Lillemor and she led them towards a grassy glade where they were greeted by a large array of rambunctious pups. Towards the edges of the glade some of the more quiet little ones spent their time, and all around pups ran free playing with each other. As Ash looked around for any one that stood out to her, a dark freckly pup caught her eye. His pelt looked as if it was enveloped in stars, and he had two mismatched eyes, one black and one white. He was standing at the very edge of the glade behind a large group of puppies and staring mindlessly at the ground. His unique colors and actions made him stand out from the others. Ash was about to walk over to him when someone burst through the entrance to the glade. Four darkly cloaked figures stood at the entrance, led by a wolf with three bright pink eyes. She demanded that there was a mistake, and that their pup had gotten mixed up with Lillemor's. The bear was confused, and asked how that managed to happen. The three eyed wolf exclaimed that their pup had ran away and come to play with the others in the adoption center. Ash and Zinnia stood wide eyed, watching the ordeal. Ash saw movement in the corner of her eye, and turned to see that the starry freckled pup was trembling in fear. The three eyed wolf caught his eye and a brief look of fury crossed her face before a look of strained kindness. She called for him in a strange, sweet kind of way and sent two of the other cloaked wolves to collect him. The two wolves led him back to the entrance and the three eyed wolf. Lillemor was not happy but she knew to stay out of matters between parents and their children and kept to herself. The pup looked stiff with terror and his eyes were wide as they led him away he looked over at Ash and Zinnia with a terrified look that pleaded for help. It didn't seem right to Ash. Those wolves couldn't be the pup's family; there was no love in their eyes towards him. And why did the pup look so scared? What were those strange black cloaks about anyway? The whole ordeal sent a chill down Ash's spine. Something wasn't right, and she had to help that pup. She looked over at Zinnia and a look of agreement passed through them.
Ash called out to the leader, snarling. The wolf turned slowly and stared down at Ash. "Who says you have the right to treat your kid that way, " Ash growled, "Who says this pup is even yours!?" The three eyed wolf gave Ash a pained smile, but Ash could see the rage in her eyes. She told her that she didn't know what she was getting herself into, but Ash wouldn't have it. She knew in her heart that that kid was in trouble. She lunged at the three eyed wolf, and Zinnia backed her up. The cloaked wolves were surprisingly strong, but Ash and Zinnia's rage drove them. Before long, Zinnia had swiped up the pup and ran for it. The pup looked terrified and was muttering something under his breath. Ash held the wolves down as Zinnia ran with him. Suddenly, the three eyed wolf dashed around and bit Ash hard on the shoulder. Ash tried to move, but she couldn't budge. The three eyed wolf had her teeth locked unto Ash too hard! The wolf made a signal with her paw and the three other wolves ran after Zinnia. No! They couldn't be caught now! All three of them could be killed! Ash struggled against the three eyed wolf's grip, but in was useless. The wolf pinned her down as she watched the others run after her love and that poor pup.... Then, there was a flash of brown fur and a roar as Lillemor slashed all three wolves down in one mighty blow! Apparently she had made the decision to join the fight for the pup. With the bear on their side, Ash and the others stood a real chance. As the three eyed wolf looked over at Lillemor in surprise, Ash attacked. Soon, the darkly cloaked wolves were outmatched. They began to retreat as the three eyed leader turned around and told Ash she'd made an enemy out of the Atsuki. The Atsuki? Ash wondered who they were; she had certainly never heard of any "Atsuki." But with that they were gone, vanished as fast as they came. Ash turned to Lillemor and thanked her many times before running after Zinnia and the pup with all she had left. Lillemor tried to call to her and tell her she was bleeding, but Ash didn't have time for that. Eventually, she made it back to camp and stood, bleeding, as she looked around. Her pack mates were looking around in confusion and told ash Zinnia just burst into the Herbalist's den with a strange pup. Ash dashed to the den and found the pup and Zinnia inside. The pup was sobbing into Zinnia's fur and Hawk looked around for the right herbs. Ash came to comfort the two of them when she began to feel dizzy. She ended up passing out on the floor from blood loss, but luckily she was already in the herbalist's den so he fixed her up soon enough.
Ash later leaning that the evil group they met that day kept pups with certain powers captive and used them for their own heartless schemes. The pup they had rescued was one of those used for whatever evil the Atsuki were planning, and because of this his childhood had been anything but normal, filled with terror and suffering at every turn. Ash felt terrible for him. The next night, her and Zinnia made a decision. They decided to keep the pup in their pack as their own and love him dearly as no one else had. The pup already idolized them for saving him, so they were the best wolves to help him heal mental from the trauma he endured. When they told the pup that they would be adoption him, he ran to them and wept into their fur with joy. He had never had a real family, and Ash figured it must be a lot for him to finally get one.
The pup had never had a name when he was with the Atsuki. They had simply referred to him as "Number Seven" so Ash and Zinnia came up with one for him. They named him Cosmo after the pelt of stars he wore and the heart of gold grasped through everything he'd been through that made him their whole world.
Cosmo was a strange pup with a big imagination. Ash didn't fully understand it, but somehow he carried the stars with him and controlled them as he wished. He refused to use or even really talk about these powers after the Atsuki, but Ash still had respect for his abilities. However, even without his powers he was strong, and above all creative. Ash couldn't help but think of how lucky she and Zinnia were to find him that day. The little family they had created was more then she could have ever imagined.
