Biography
First Encounter
"Well, well, well," A voice from the dark spooks you. You didn't know anyone lived in these mysterious woods.
"Look who's wandered into my little corner of the territory." You hear a dry, humorless laugh, more like a cackle than a laugh, and then a wolf with dark red fur walks towards you.
"I'm Crimson," He introduces himself. Seeing your confused face, he laughs again. "Didn't tell you I lived here, did they?"
Without waiting for a response, he continues.
"Of course, they would never remember poor old Crimson. Or rather, they would rather pretend I don't exist and never did."
He circles around you, giving off sort of a threatening vibe. You open your mouth to ask about the weird blue swirling things around him but he cuts you off.
"Don't ask about that." For the first time, he seems to regain some of his sanity. "The pack asked Flicker to use her magic and trap me here in this forest. Then, of course, they trapped her too but I can't leave here without her help."
You tilt your head. Was that bitterness in his voice? Both of you are quiet for a few moments.
"Why do you live here?" You ask, trying to break the silence.
"Because the pack exiled me, of course," Crimson replies, picking up a bone from the ground and gnawing on it to get the last scraps of meat. "They just couldn't handle the truths I told. Weaklings, I tell you."
You cringe as you see how worn down his teeth are. Food definitely wasn't plentiful.
"Oh, don't pity me, I quite enjoy being on my own where I can tell all the truths I want without being scolded for how dark they are. Now, go on, run back to my pack and see what you think now about them."
As you leave, you hear someone cackling, a long unbroken cackle. Somehow, you know it's Crimson as your fur stands on end.
