When he's not hunting, he's usually running correspondence between the other wolf packs in the area. Because of the amount of time he spends around wolves outside of his own pack, he's often seen as a neutral party, and will be called in to settle arguments that arise between packs.

He has been a part of the Leonharts pack since he was 6 months old. The "pack" he was a part of before then were not much of a pack at all, instead opting for nomadic, mostly solitary lives. Mothers would take care of their young alone, and once the pups reached adolescence, they were expected to go out and live an independent life of their own.

As much as he had always wanted to be like his parents, though, he enjoyed the company of other wolves too much to not seek out a solid pack to join. As a compromise with himself, he became a messenger between packs when he had the time. He does genuinely enjoy it, but for the most part, it's to combat the guilt he feels over straying from the path expected of him.
