Shredblaze is SwiftClan pack's scout, keen eyed and wiry, with a lean build. He runs proudly beside his leader and--now--mate, Astralstar.
Shortly after Astralstar rule, SwiftClan faced a crisis--a drought--that wiped out the prey in their territory almost entirely.
Slowly, day by day, the belief in the Warrior Code faltered, as did Astralstar's certainty.
Every time a wolf from the Hunting Party came back empty jawed, accusing glares and snarls would be turned on Astralstar, as if she was to blame for this. Day by day, the leadership in her heart died. Day by day, the tensions and accusing murmurs grew.
The prey shortage was not SwiftClan greatest enemy. SwiftClan itself was.
Then one day, Ravendark, the glossy furred, bright eyed, quick witted male whose pelt was as black as the darkest night, who had been through thick and thin--Swiftstar's and Winterstar's rule--who had once been the respected and revered elder and breeding male of the pack, met his fate. His spirit had slowly slipped away, like wet fishes dodging out of the curling grasps of a wolf's claws.
