- During the lesson: Rockefell taught the class about wind direction and scents that can reveal your position if the threat is downwind. Turns out Forest is the best at hiding if he just rolls in the dirt first!
- During the lesson: Not only was the nesting material important, but the right spot and the right time matter, too. Forest learned how to choose wisely and save a lot of time.
- During the lesson: Rockefell pretended to be a very hungry coyote today and chased Forest around the den to test all the dodging techniques in action. The dripping saliva coming from her mouth was a great yucky touch.
- During the lesson: With Rockefell overseeing the ordeal, Forest had to organize, coordinate and help the group move an entire fallen log out of the den. Tiny pups lack the strength on their own, but cooperating as a team can get things done!
- During the lesson: Forest concentrated on the bumblebee hovering above a large, white flower. Nothing else existed in this very special moment, and Rockefell couldn't help but watch in approval.
