- During the lesson: Fern concentrated on the bumblebee hovering above a large, white flower. Nothing else existed in this very special moment, and Sunny couldn't help but watch in approval.
- During the lesson: Sunny was serious as they explained that even the best hiding spot won't save your life if you reveal yourself too soon. Fern learned how to limit body movement and noise in dangerous situations.
- During the lesson: Sunny stuffed herbs into his mouth and chewed them into a paste. He spit the wad into a paw and dabbed it onto a leaf, showing Fern the proper technique.
- During the lesson: The lesson today focused on relaying information accurately among pack members. Fern sat with several other pups as they whispered the same sentence around the circle and tried to keep it the same, but when it came back to Sunny it was hilariously different than when it started.
- During the lesson: Fern failed to recognize a few subspecies of an important herb. Sunny explained the differences again and showed how simply scratching the leaf can release a scent that is quite easy to distinguish.
