Melloria

It's a wonder how Melloria survived this long but she was one of the wolves that originally called the Barren Hollows their home back when it was thriving. Before a few overzealous wolves got the idea to burn the place down thanks to a devious outsider.

Now, Melloria rules over the land with an iron fist. Striking fear into the hearts of the individuals that get to catch a rare glimpse of her and her raven companion, Josmael, a Lunar Raven who's seemingly been around since wolves started living in these lands. Including the land to the east, past the mountain range that the wolves of the Barren Hollows closely watch.




-- Trespassers -- Oct. 24th, 2024
At the base of the massive oak tree that marked the heart of the Barren Hollows stood Melloria speaking with Josmael. The raven squawked at her and Melloria shook her head. "I know." Melloria responded as she sorted through some items and Josmael cawed again. The she-wolf frowned a little at that. "Do you think I am not trying to accomplish that, Josmael?" Melloria stated with a growl and she was met with silence so, she continued. "I've been running myself ragged tending to the borders and placing Alarm Runes down so I know when Outsiders enter. I never expected we'd be having so many... Trespassers! So quickly after we've re-established ourselves in the land!" The raven chatters away again and she shakes her head. "I--" She's interrupted by another squawk. "I know! ...I know. I am trying and I will hopefully find someone to make my Sentinel soon. It just takes time, Josmael. Have patience." She says with a huff and the raven finally quiets down.

But, the silence doesn't last forever as Josmael focuses on a figure behind Melloria and calls out in warning. The dark she-wolf turns, eyes flowing with an ink-like substance before calming when she recognizes who it is. Jasper, her mate. "Jasper! By the light of the moon, you scared us. Don't sneak up on us like that, love." Melloria chided before approaching the dark brown male as the ink stopped flowing from her eyes. She rubbed her head under his chin as Jasper chuckled a little. "I apologize, I didn't realize you two were having a meeting today." "No, no. It's fine. We were just... Discussing the border troubles we've been having lately is all. Josmael wanted to give me an earful for not doing something sooner." Melloria quickly replies, shooting the raven who was still perched on a rock next to the great oak tree a brief glare before refocusing on her mate.

Jasper just shook his head a little and sat down next to his mate. "Well, I'm sure we'll figure something out eventually. But anyway, I did want to stop by. See how you were doing and maybe catch a bit of a break from the young ones. Branwen and Viktor are at one another's throats again and you," Jasper paused to bump up against Melloria to make sure he had her full attention. "You could use a break, dear." Melloria dipped her head a little at that. "I know... I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call it an early evening I suppose. Josmael will just have to live without having the runes all being placed for another day." She said, smirking back at the raven who flew overhead with a caw. "Come then. Get some rest, get some food. I'm sure Varona and the other two will be happy to see you before dusk." Jasper said with a smile as he stood, nudging the she-wolf to do the same before he led the way back to their pack's rendezvous site with Josmael and Abelas overhead.

- Melloria is sorta inspired by my D&D character Eleanor, a Raven Queen Warlock :)
- Use a Wolf Blood for a future litter or two I want to see if I can get fancy private lined carriers Lol
- Maybe use one of her future pups to be my stud? Keep the price high probably to keep it a bit rare.
- CD Idea I have for this pack: A Raven footprint bodypaint that's a dark red or blue color and is placed on the shoulder.
- Also bears the title "Queen of Ravens". She has additional magic where she can conjure ravens made of pure magic or of shadows to do her bidding. Her lunar raven, Josmael, acts as her eyes and ears. Josmael purposefully flies all over the Barren Hollows and beyond, bringing back precious intel and he even spies on individuals for her.
- Melloria can speak with and understand all birds. Although, she has a preference for ravens and crows. Plus Josmael and Abelas are the ones that most commonly speak with her. Sorta like Odin's ability with his Ravens in God of War: Ragnarok! Melloria is often seen conversing with Josmael and Abelas like this LOL
- Maybe if she has a carrier pup in the future I could use that Raven Keeper idea I had a bit ago for it! Maybe they'll split off from the pack and disapprove of the direction Melloria's taking them all
- Melloria has become an OC of mine now honestly Lol Plan on making her immortal. Maybe she will be a Deity for my pack, my own Matron of Ravens/Raven Queen perhaps Lol Would love to get her the deity blackened wings cd when that happens
