Shrouded Valley Region

Shrouded Valley Overview

Beyond the sprawling mountain range in the west where most packs commonly call their home, lies another large and sprawling section of forests that always seems to have a bit of low hanging fog clinging to it.

The northern half of the forest is made up of a Coniferous Forest that eventually gives way to the barren landscape that is the Tundra and Glacier biomes. The land is much more difficult to survive in up there and very few wolves call that place home. As for the southern half, it is primarily made up of a Deciduous Forest and Riparian Woodlands. Nestled between these two sections is the scorched remains of a once massive Taiga forest known as The Barren Hollows.

The Northern Expanse

The areas north of the Barren Hollows is a mixture of Coniferous Forest, Tundra, and Glacier Landscapes. A few packs live out here but the winters are long and far harsher than anywhere else in the region. Even fewer lone wolves call this place their home but some have gotten lucky and manage to survive without the help of a pack.

The Southern Woodlands

The forests and woodlands south of the Barren Hollows is bustling and teeming with life. It's currently split into two halves: The western half is made up of a Riparian Woodland while the eastern half is made up of a Deciduous Forest.

Wolf Research & Conservation Center

To the far west of the Taiga, nestled in the rocky mountainside sits a large ranger-run facility that contains both a wolf sanctuary and a research site for the nearby Alhavenlan Pack. They frequently send rangers out to observe, record, or write about the pack's antics and wellbeing.

The Outskirts

To the far east of the Alhavenlan Pack's territory, a large river marks the edge of their territory and the beginning of the outskirts where lone wolves commonly wander. Most are kept from entering by the alphas. However, a lone wolf may occasionally slip by the patrols to either try and prove themselves to join the pack or threaten the safety of their young pups.
