Jay

Jay is a prim grey wolf with dull silver eyes. He is currently the chaser for Dawn Flashfire. Like his littermate, his fur is ticked forest green. He is currently a chaser in Nightshade's Shadow.

Jay was very self-conscious as a pup. Unsure why his littermate and him had been separated from his mother, it haunted his sleep and mucked around in his heart. How did he cope? By bragging about himself. A lot. He was the top dog in his eyes--constantly yammering about how he solved this, stalked that, looked like this, sniffed out that. He was barely less annoying than his littermate, who was VERY annoying. When not bragging, he was absorbed in Clawworking art of himself in the dirt. It annoyed him to no end when Grouse would stomp on it to prank him. When he wanted to play, he would tag along with Grouse's antics, complaining about whatever gets stuck in his fur on the way.

He liked Cel's quietness and how he would endlessly listen to him talk with no interjection of his own. It led him to trust and enjoy Cel's company in a way he doesn't with any other wolf.

As an underpaw, Jay was the better learner. He would push himself to his limits for praise from the mentors and greatly impressed them. He studied chasing under Swift Claws, specifically Twoface.



Adulthood

Originally joined blood's glean with cel and savage, which dissolved quickly due to not getting along. Then he created Dropping of Birds with his brother, where they hunted as a duo. When Cedar had her second litter, Grouse and Jay joined Nightshade's Shadow.

Around the mid-Heat season, Copper, Aurora, and Lux aged up. Jay had paid the pups no mind as he went about his daily life, but Lux was basically thrust in their faces once she became a yearling. She put Grouse in his place, which Jay found humorous, and insisted she name their newly formed hunting party.

Lux named their party "Dawn Flashfire" after her night of first hunt ending on a red dawn sky. Grouse complained it wasnt his style, but Lux shot him a look to shut him up.
