Erebos Antares

Erebos is a young lone wolf that roams the Northern Expanse. He also has a penchant for lounging about near the borders of the Barren Hollows but he has yet to be fully chased off by Melloria. It actually seems like the she-wolf may have a bit of a soft spot for this charming loner but the two are quick to deny anything of the sort.

Will he continue to hang around or will he eventually pay the price for tempting fate too often? Only time will tell.

-- Asking for Help -- December 21st, 2024
Erebos was in a bit of a hurry today as he sought out Venirsala in the mountainous side of the Northern Expanse. One of the pups he was taking care of got injured and he knew just the wolf to ask for help that wouldn't nearly kill him for trespassing on pack territory. "Moonflower! Hey, I need your help with something." He called out the second he spotted the lone gray and black wolf hobbling about.

Erebos was quick to trot over to the familiar lake she hung around. Venirsala however regarded him with narrow eyes before tilting her head. "You do not have the herbs I've been searching for. What do you need my help with then, Erebos?"

"Look, your herb can wait. Right now I've got someone injured that needs help. Can you do something?" Erebos was cutting out his usual roundabout way of asking for things today and was being rather blunt. The she-wolf nodded. "It is not my main specialty but I know some things about tending injuries. Where is this injured wolf?" She asked calmly as she limped towards him. "This way. I'll lead you to them. Thank you, Moonflower." He said and darted off albeit at a slightly slower pace so she could keep track of where he was. Eventually, he guided Venirsala back to his hangout spot in the western edge of the Coniferous Forest section of the Northern Expanse.

Venirsala only grew more confused as she hobbled after the strange loner as she could hear the sound of pups, one in particular was crying louder than the rest. "I did not know you had pups, Erebos." She said as she approached and saw Erebos guiding the largest of three out of the taller grass. "Yeah, well I wasn't about to leave them out here on their own. Besides, it doesn't matter. Can you help him?" he asked and nudged Ominis towards Venirsala. The gray and black pup had a large gash over his right eye that he refused to open. The she-wolf got to work immediately, picking a few herbs before chewing them into a paste. "Do you know what did this to them?" She asked while examining the wound, checking how deep it was.

"A coyote was sniffing around earlier this morning. I thought I scared it off but I guess I missed the second one. It almost snatched his sister up but he stopped it from happening thankfully." Erebos explained and Venirsala nodded before gently applying the remedy to the wound. "You are one brave little pup then. On the bright side however, it is not too deep. It will heal if given enough time and it isn't infected either." She said calmly yet there was a warm undertone to her voice. "Can you open your eye, young one?" Ominis looked a little nervous to do so but it was less scary to now that there wasn't any blood trying to get into his eye. He slowly opened his right eye, it was a little blurry but he blinked and it cleared up.

"Not blinded either. Good." Venirsala leaned back now, giving the pup space. "Thank you." Both Ominis and Erebos said at the same time. "Do not thank me, it is nothing." She says to the two before standing, giving a friendly smile to the other pups. "If that is all I will return to the lake and continue searching for herbs. Stay safe." Venirsala added and begun to turn to leave. Erebos watched her for a few seconds before quietly whispering for the pups to stay put and promptly trotted after her.

"Look, I uh... You got a second, Moonflower?" He asked as he walked alongside her. The she-wolf glanced at him as she slowed to a stop. "I just wanted to thank you. I know I didn't help much with your own things but," He paused to grab a rabbit from the small stash he had buried under a nearby tree and dropped it in front of her. "I can't let you walk away without letting you take something. Enjoy the rabbit, it's the least I can do. I know how rough it gets out here, especially during the summer." Venirsala gave Erebos a bit of a smile at that. "The food is appreciated, Erebos. There's been a number of nights where I was unable to hunt but this rabbit will keep me going for awhile longer, thank you kindly." She said and Erebos smiled as well now. "Well, I'm glad. If you ever need an easier meal, Moonflower, you just come back here. No need to survive off the scraps of some other pack when I'm willin' to hunt for you." He said with a wink. "Hmm. I will keep your offer in mind. Stay safe though, Erebos. Perhaps I'll be back soon." She said before turning to leave once more.

Erebos watched her go, the trio of pups joining him now. "She's nice." Ominis muttered before Morrigan gave their father a teasing look. "Someone's got a crush." She said with a laugh before Sable shushed her sister. "You think, huh? I'll show you a crush!" Erebos joked and playfully bowed at the pups before chasing them around their little rendezvous site. The sound of their laughter could be heard throughout their part of the forest as they all played together as their own little pack.

- Finished his design on Oct. 26th, 2024!
- He has flame abilities but he's kept them a secret more or less. It's not common knowledge.
- Has some lore with Venirsala in her bio as of December 17th.
- Voice sounds like Drifter from Destiny 2.
