But his immediate goals are to prove himself a valuable member of the pack, despite his younger age (for a mature wolf), learn the skills necessary for hunting and survival from the older wolves, and deepen his bonds with his packmates.

One significant event that happened to Iadine was the loss of his family. Iadine was born into a small family pack that roamed the edge of a human-populated area. When he was about six months old, a severe storm separated his family from their territory, driving them closer to farmland. Hunters, mistaking them for threats to livestock, targeted his pack. Iadine witnessed the death of his mother and younger siblings. He managed to escape, carrying the emotional scars of the traumatic experience.

Wandering alone and traumatized, Iadine stumbled upon an old, seemingly solitary wolf known throughout the area as Shuros, who told Iadine he was a Theta, which, in simpler terms for him, is a herbalist. This wise male wolf, though aged, was a wise sire who recognized the pain and potential within Iadine. He took him in, teaching him about life's interconnectedness, balance's importance, and empathy's power. He helped him process his grief and instilled in him a deep respect for all living things. He also subtly guided him towards using his size and imposing appearance as a deterrent, rather than a weapon.

After a few months with the Theta, he encouraged Iadine to join his pack, believing Iadine needed the camaraderie and structure to truly find his place in the world. Iadine, deciding to embark on his travels alone with the teachings the wise Theta gave him, found When Leaves Fall, a group of relatively peaceful wolves struggling to survive in a shrinking wilderness. He was initially met with suspicion due to his size and solitary background, but his gentle nature and the lingering wisdom from Shuros, the Theta, helped him gradually gain their trust.

Iadine gets along with any wolf willing to get along with him, but one of his more profound and formative relationships is Shuros's. He was a guiding light in a dark period of his life. He continues to carry the aging Theta's lessons in his heart and often seeks quiet reflection to recall his wisdom, as he feels a deep sense of gratitude and loyalty towards him. Shuros is one of Iadine's best friends.

The Alpha Female of When Leaves Fall is one of the wolves whose respect he is trying to earn. He admires her strength and leadership but also senses her weariness and the burden she carries. He hopes to become a trusted advisor and confidant, offering his support and strength to alleviate her burden. He sees the alpha female as a strong leader and is fiercely loyal to her.

Putting aside his ambition and devotion to his Alpha, Iadine is also currently working on building solid relationships with the other members of When Leaves Fall. He's particularly drawn to the younger wolves, offering them guidance and protection when he can. He's patient and understanding, knowing that trust takes time to build.
