Lemillion is only a couple hundred years old, which is incredibly young for a Diety such as himself. He was given the task of looking over the Swamp, as he was told that their Moon-Diety enemies had seeked refuge in a hidden cave.
So there he was, watching over.
He was supposed to stay in his immortal form to be invisible to the world down below the clouds, but something caught his eye. What kind of animal was that? At first glance he thought it was just a rather large wolf, but he spotted a very long, lengthy, furless tail. He was intrigued, and as the young god he was, he wanted to investigate.
His curiosity was peaked, and he cleanly leaped from the clouds onto the slightly-wet ground, his paws feeling muddy. He quickly followed the scent of the creature, unknowingly becoming visible as his mind wandered to this interesting mortal, ignoring the task he was originally given.
Who needed to be invisible and nonexistent to the world when he could be interacting with it?
He saw the mortal come into view, and he saw the wolf-like backside paired with that serpent-esque tail. He couldn't see much else over the dark wings that were spread from that fluffy back. This was something he'd not yet seen before, yet it kind of reminded him of a Gryffon or a Cockatrice.
The creature must have known he was there- Lemillion was as bright as the sun itself in a moon-clad, dark Swamp such as this. The mortal leaped, and Lemillion was forced to pause unless he wanted to run head-first into that nearly impossible-to-see body of water. The other landed on a large tree-root, and turned to look at the sun-god from across the small lake.
Lemillion's eyes widened when he realized that, yes, this was a wolf. He was confused. From the different animal-like parts sprouting from his body, and even to his bright indigo eyes that seemed to shine with the stars above them- This was a Moon-god. But... he didn't have the immortal-life that came with it.
He could see the power in that large form, and the other wolf only preened under the attention: wings spreading out behind him to make himself seem bigger as he straightened his posture. Lemillion was dead-set on learning about this wolf, even if he knew this was betrayal to his family- to his father.
"Are you- Hey!" Lemillion yelped as the wolf turned to run again, this time using his wings to boost himself faster. The golden wolf called upon his power, and he ran across the water as if it were solid ground, and quickly caught up to the other. His power sprung him forward, landing directly in front of the purple and black wolf. The other gave a squeak as he used all of his might to stop in place so he wouldn't hit the diety.
They stared at each other. Lemillion's Sapphire-blue eyes looking down at those constellation-filled indigo ones.
"You can't be with me," The Moon-Mortal whispered, wings folding in as those tentacles slid to hide under the feathers. His snake tail curled around him to lay over his paws. "I know," Lemillion whispered back, lowering his posture as he sat down to face the other.
"Then why are you here? Why haven't you killed me yet?" The purple wolf growled lowly, ears flattening on his head. Lemillion flinched back, pinning his own ears back as he looked a bit guilty. "I wanted to know what you were. You were something I had not seen yet since I was created a few hundred years ago. I've seen creatures that mortals don't realize actually exist, and though they all are conglomerations of other animals... None have looked like you."
"That sounds like an insult," The Moon-wolf snarled, anger dissipating quickly when that golden wolf growled back, teeth on display as his eyes flared into a bright yellow to match his halo and fur-light. "There's nothing wrong with being unique, everything that doesn't look like the 'norm' are the only things i've come to love in this world I'm forced to watch. Don't ever doubt the beauty of what you are, I would never insult someone as special as you."
His admittence was met with silence, and Lemillion shrunk back when he saw how embarassed and flattered the younger looked. "Oh... I've only ever been called a freak since I was... formed. Something that shouldn't exist, and I just... no, I can't talk to you- you're my enemy. I'd be killed if they found out," He huffed back, standing back up to try to leave, pausing when Lemillion leaned in slowly.
Suneater flinched back for a second, but held himself together. He refused to show any weakness in front of the Sun-diety. He was the villain to his kind's past.
Lemillion wasn't thinking, and it was on instinct when he leaned close enough to boop their snouts together in a slow rub. Suneater yelped pulling back as he felt a light feeling shoot through his body. It was like their veins grew warm, the unbridled heat kindling a new kind of flame within each wolf. "W-what?! Do you know what the hell you just did?" The Moon-wolf whined, body shrinking back as the Diety was staring back at him with a wide smile.
"Now you can talk to me!" Lemillion laughed, Suneater looking scary and purterbed in front of him. Lemillion stopped, ears and tail dropping. "Hey, look. I won't let them harm you. It's my responsibility to maintain mortal-life on the planet, and I always protect the ones I care about. You're special, with or without the Moon-gods behind you. I can always break the bond off, really. I promise, I won't mind."
Lemillion tilted his head playfully, "also no, I have not bonded with anyone else. There's just something about you..." he trailed off, seeing a smaller form on the purple wolf, one that was white and blue. Is that what he looked like before he was formed?
"... Okay. As long as you won't harm me or my pack, then I can get to know you." Suneater muttered, still looking offput at being forced into a pairbond without consent. This was messed up, yet he wouldn't lie if he wasn't incredibly attracted to the immortal male.
"I won't. I can promise you that. It's the least I could do. Plus, I've always hated my family, so it's not like I'm leaving anything behind!"

Lemillion, the Sun-Diety, stands by Suneater, the Moon-Made Mortal wolf, as Lemillion's family swarms them.
DreamWeaver, DreamSwimmer, DreamMender, Comet and Nova all fought alonside them, and both sides lost some gods in the process.
Suneater was devastated when he realized his pack got crushed from the ravine's roof collapsing into the cavern. Granted, none of them really liked him, but he was still empathetic.
Lemillion and him were left alone, the Moon-Dieties watching the two. Lemillion's family disowned him, and stole his ability to access the Day-gods' court. He was stuck on Earth without any power except being immortal.
Yet he couldn't care less, he was with Suneater for a few months at that point, and he loved the amalgamation of a wolf. He watched the Moon's coucil turn Suneater immortal like them, and the golden wolf was excited that their 'forever' really could be forever.
Lemillion helped Suneater look for survivors in the ravine, and gathered them all up as they left- moving from biome to biome, horizon through horizon to find a new home. They weren't sure where they would stop, they just kept going until their mind told them when to stop moving.
