Atalanta

Atalanta is Adsartha's youngest daughter, born when her mother was already quite old. The age difference between her and her older sister, Charna, did not prevent a strong bond from forming between them.
Years before she was born, Charna had turned down the offer to be the next alpha. When the same offer was made to her in her early teens, she almost turned it down as well. The respect she saw in the pack for her mother was so great, how could she possibly match her?
However, with the encouragement of Charna and her father, Atalanta accepted the challenge. Her parents, her older sister, and other members of the council helped her prepare for the future position. The young she-wolf absorbed as much learning as she could, which combined with her personality so close to her mother's, ensured that she became an alpha as worthy as her mother had been before her.

Atalanta developed a taste for running, and does so whenever she needs to think or decide something important, as it helps her concentrate. This led to a strange event in her late teens: a friendship with a pony!
Atalanta spotted two men on horseback trying to capture her and, even though it was none of her business, she charged at the humans to scare them away. Well... The young alfa didn't want this invasive species in her territory! At first, the equine was wary of the she-wolf's presence, but Atalanta soon calmed her down, and they spent the rest of that night talking. From that point on, a friendship blossomed between the two, and the pony has free reign in her pack, with no one being allowed to hunt her.

The pony's name is Tempest, and she was born in the wild, her mother had previously belonged to humans, but ran away early in her adult life.
