"The Vagabond"
Faye's mother was chased from her pack when she was pregnant, and Faye was the only pup of her litter to survive. Both she and her mother had to learn how to navigate the wilderness, becoming experts in tracking, scavenging, sneaking, and finding the best places to hide when trouble comes. They were a good team, and soon realized they quite liked the lone wolf life, and didn't need a pack to protect them.
Along their travels, they would occasionally meet the friendly pack who would offer them a warm meal and a safe den to sleep in for the night. In return, they'd entertain the pack with tales of danger, suspense, and the beauty of lands far away. They'd leave with the sunrise, and seek out new places explore.
Eventually, her mother grew tired, and couldn't travel anymore. She laid down beneath a shady tree on a cliff overlooking the forest, and Faye promised she would continue exploring, and tell her about all her new adventures when she saw her again. Not long after, she met the Downfall Warriors. Sable liked Faye's spirit, and invited her to stay the night. When they settled in the clearing for dinner, she met a handsome, golden furred and honey eyed buck, who had just as many adventurous tales to tell as she did. He introduced himself as Toren, and it didn't take long for her to decide that this place might not be such a bad place to call home.
She fit right in as a scout for her new pack, still able to travel far and see lands a new, while having a warm den and loving partner to come home to after days away. Though she and Toren might spend weeks apart, on the nights where they were both back at Sanctuary, cuddled together and chowing down on fresh elk, they made it all worth it.
