Raised by Loam to be creative and to enjoy spending time with others
Mentored by Maitake, learned to be cunning and cautious around outsiders

Sarcastic and somewhat condescending. As a young wolf, she expected everyone around her to be as quick-witted as she is, which often led to disappointment on her part and hurt feelings on the other. Her closest bonds were with her littermates, Applerust and Toughshank. Applerust was often the instigator and troublemaker while Toughshank tended to be overly laid-back and accepting. Bolete was the ringleader, egging them on or quelling their excitement. They were both very protective of her.

She idolized her older siblings Lotus and Otocinclus and gradually grew to respect Loach, Aster, and Corydora for their distinct brands of wisdom and roles in the pack. Her mother was possibly her closest confidant and the one she strove to emulate - fitting of a future leader. But her caustic attitude and naturally mistrustful personality gets in the way sometimes.
