Knowing this pup came from a loving pack, Grathier decided to honour the naming traditions.
In the Redpine Pack, all wolves seemed to be named after birds. After Grathier examinated the pup carefully, a word escaped his lips: "Ziŋtkála". It was Lakota for bird and although it wasn't a specific bird, it was a broad name - leaving space for the young wolf to shape itself.
