Brokenwood Pack
Once upon a time, there was a warchief in a far away land. As a pup, he was a member of a northern tribe who all had slicked back fur and somewhat heavy neck coats. With that, they were accompanied with curled ears and boar like teeth. All of these canines had reddish pelts and as a rite of passage, the adolescents would get their face intentionally scared as a tribal marking; a mark of adulthood. The pup which the Brokenwood Pack celebrates was called Grathier and was one of these ancient canines; he's celebrated for splitting off his tribe into the unknown and being rather successful in leading a cult. Although the Brokenwood Pack is no cult, this ancient entity is still celebrated within the heart of the pack. As a ritual, every male pup of the current lead must be renamed to Grathier once they take over the pack.
Why they celebrate this odd canine is unknown, but it has been said that the first Grathier of Brokenwood had been told of the canine's tales as a pup. Being the runt himself, he was filled with awe as he heard of the rumours going around this seemingly gentle giant with a rash and powerful side.

Luohti's regime
Luohti took more after his mother than father and therefore decided to keep his birth name. He wanted to honour the name Farred had chosen for him, feeling like it was more meaningful. This way, after his mother's death, he stayed connected to her spirit.
